Strategic steps to realize accountability and collaboration through the signing of the 2025 Jember University performance agreement. The signing was carried out by the Rector of Jember University, Dr. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng., IPM, and the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., together with other deans, heads of institutions, and heads of Unit Penunjang Akademik (UPA) within UNEJ. “We will realize with full responsibility the performance targets stated in the agreement,” said Prof. Dafik. It was said that the performance targets were based on the 2025-2029 Jember University Business Strategic Plan with the Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) and also the Indikator Kinerja Kegiatan (IKK).

“Those with a high percentage to be achieved are improving the quality of graduates; we at FMIPA have prepared the jargon 3.5 to the power of 4, which is the target ideal for FMIPA graduate students,” he explained. Next is the number of study programs that achieve excellence or are internationally certified. This year, FMIPA is also targeting 2 undergraduate study programs that are in the process of accreditation to achieve excellence. “Early in 2025, our two undergraduate study programs, namely mathematics and biology, are in the process of submitting accreditation to LAMSAMA; hopefully they will get excellence that can realize FMIPA’s performance targets,” he hoped. After the Rector, the Dean will also sign a performance agreement with all study programs within FMIPA UNEJ.

In his remarks, the Rector of UNEJ said that signing the performance agreement is an important step in realizing UNEJ’s vision and mission. “This performance agreement functions as a tool to align the university’s strategic goals with the operational goals of each work unit. So that there will be a clear understanding of their contribution to achieving UNEJ’s vision and mission,” said the Rector. The rector emphasized several important points, namely aligning targets, increasing accountability, and encouraging collaboration.

The UNEJ Chancellor said that this performance agreement also encourages collaboration between work units in achieving common goals. “Collaboration is important to overcome the complex challenges faced by universities and to create synergy in achieving better results so that a conducive and mutually supportive work environment is created,” he concluded. The signing of the 2025 performance agreement was held at the UNEJ rectorate building, witnessed by the vice chancellors and the chair of the Jember University Senate.
