The academic community of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, held their first morning roll call after the joint leave for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H (April 6). Prof. Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, led the roll call, conveying a message to prepare for promotions and functional positions. “In accordance with the direction of the UNEJ leadership, lecturers and education staff are expected to actively process promotions and check the completeness of documents through the FMIPA personnel office,” she said. For lecturers’ functional promotions, as instructed by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, they should immediately complete the requirements by checking the Ministry’s sister website.
Today’s morning roll call for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ, was the turn of officers from the FMIPA Dean’s Office. The leadership of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNEJ has implemented a monthly rotation of morning roll call officers, attended by all members of the FMIPA academic community. In his address, Prof. Hari also reminded the students about the special learning activities in this even semester, which includes several holidays. “Students, as consumers, must receive good service, especially during lectures. This semester will have many holidays, so lecturers must be able to organize their schedules so that students are well-served,” she hoped. If students encounter difficulties, the active role of their advisors is highly expected to be present to resolve them.
Prof. Hari also conveyed a message from the Vice Dean III of FMIPA regarding Student Creativity Program (PKM). Supervisors are expected to continue actively providing their best, as the program has now reached the university level. “The PKM FMIPA representatives are expected to be able to speak at the national level. I hope that mentoring will continue in coordination with the Vice Dean III of FMIPA,” she continued. FMIPA always supports and provides the best facilities for student activities, especially in achievement-oriented activities such as PKM.
Concluding his address, Prof. Hari conveyed a message from the Vice Dean III of FMIPA. Hari stated that the goal is to revive impactful internships, which are no longer limited by the number of credits. “The active role of the advisor is expected to foster understanding that impactful internships, as outlined by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, no longer require a certain number of credits,” she explained. Prof. Hari encouraged all participants to continue providing the best service to students as consumers after the Eid al-Fitr break. The next morning roll call will be held by the Mathematics Department, with a mandatory dress rehearsal at the end of April.
