He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to be competitive when entering society. “Today’s workforce requires workers with KKNI (National Qualifications Framework) level 6, so I hope that with the knowledge gained from studying at FMIPA, I can remain competitive,” he began. At this level, individuals must master various more complex competencies. They must possess strong managerial skills, be able to make strategic decisions, and be capable of development and innovation.
Prof. Dafik stated that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, with its motto of “creativity,” will continue to produce energetic, multi-tasking, and multi-talented graduates. This motto, supported by creativity, enables graduates to be independent. “Don’t rely solely on a science degree, but develop your creativity so you can work in various fields, which are currently rapidly evolving,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance prayer and effort to achieve success. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences led an open meeting of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences senate, accompanied by the Vice Deans II and III of the Faculty. All members of the FMIPA senate, as well as invited guests representing the teaching and administrative staff of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University, were present.
SFollowing this, the Dean of the FMIPA UNEJ read the decree concerning the 116th Undergraduate Graduation (S1) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University, for the 7th term of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, by Vice Dean II of the FMIPA, Dr. Esti Utarti, S.P., M.Si. Nur Amalina encouraged the graduates to immediately prepare for entering the workforce. The next step is to practice creating CVs and learn how to conduct a good job interview. “Like me, start by learning how to write a good CV, keep it short, and highlight your strengths and skills,” she said. She continued by learning how to conduct job interviews, highlighting your abilities and strengths to compete with other applicants in a company. This was based on her experience when she was accepted to work as a QC Analyst at PT. Sariguna Primatirta, Tbk and an ISO Electric Focusing Operator at PT. Benih Citra Asia.
Nur Amalina also reminded the graduates not to overthink their competitors when applying for a job. “Erase feelings of inferiority or overthinking when meeting competitors in the workplace. GPA or university background aren’t everything. We’ll convey skills that can be applied when hired at a company,” she concluded. The graduation ceremony concluded with a prayer, hoping for all graduates’ future success. The graduates will attend the graduation ceremony this coming weekend at the Jember University Auditorium.
