Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Graduation Ceremony, Term X, Academic Year 2025/2026

FMIPA of Jember University held its 85th Postgraduate (S2) and 119th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University for Term X, Academic Year 2025/2026 (June 4). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become independent graduates. “FMIPA is dedicated to providing useful knowledge so that alumni can be independent in facing the future,” he began. After graduation, alumni are expected to no longer be dependent on their parents.

Prof. Dafik stated that FMIPA alumni have the advantage of being able to enter all fields of work. “The broad scope of the science and technology field is a valuable asset for alumni, such as now, when they can enter public schools to teach and become nutritionists in national government programs,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to embrace lifelong learning, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning, learning through anything, anywhere, and any medium. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences led an open meeting of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences senate, accompanied by the Vice Deans II and III of the Faculty. All members of the FMIPA senate, as well as invited guests representing the teaching and administrative staff of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University, were also present. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Graduation Ceremony, Term IX, 2025/2026 Academic Year

FMIPA UNEJ held the 84th Postgraduate (S2) and 118th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Jember University, Term IX, 2025/2026 Academic Year (April 16). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become creative graduates. “Use the knowledge gained during lectures to develop creative skills,” he began. FMIPA alumni should no longer simply wait for job openings; they should create their own opportunities, armed with useful knowledge and skills, so they can adapt to the wider community after graduation.

Prof. Dafik stated that FMIPA alumni have been equipped with fundamental knowledge to adapt to the needs of the times. “The current era is filled with AI, so FMIPA alumni who have mastered the basics are expected to be prepared with the skills they have to adapt, not just waiting for job openings, but creating their own opportunities,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance dhikr (remembrance of God) and meditation (contemplation) to prepare for life after graduating from FMIPA UNEJ. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held the 83rd Postgraduate (S2) and 117th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University, Period 8, Academic Year 2025/2026 (February 5). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become competitive graduates. “Today’s world of work has changed, not only in terms of human resources but also in terms of the rise of AI, making them a significant competitor,” he began. Therefore, the graduates must increase their creativity to compete with AI, and this competition can even lead to prototypes that AI does not yet possess.

Prof. Dafik stated that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), with its motto of “creativity,” will continue to produce alumni who are not solely focused on their GPA. Supported by this motto, creativity will enable graduates to be independent and competitive. “With the FMIPA motto of “creative and innovative,” we foster a strong mentality toward future achievements that can be achieved, and FMIPA is also committed to this through the tagline “3.5 to the power of 4,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance prayer and effort to achieve success. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held its 116th Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University, Period 7, Academic Year 2025/2026 (January 21). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to be competitive when entering society. “Today’s workforce requires workers with KKNI (National Qualifications Framework) level 6, so I hope that with the knowledge gained from studying at FMIPA, I can remain competitive,” he began. At this level, individuals must master various more complex competencies. They must possess strong managerial skills, be able to make strategic decisions, and be capable of development and innovation.

Prof. Dafik stated that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, with its motto of “creativity,” will continue to produce energetic, multi-tasking, and multi-talented graduates. This motto, supported by creativity, enables graduates to be independent. “Don’t rely solely on a science degree, but develop your creativity so you can work in various fields, which are currently rapidly evolving,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance prayer and effort to achieve success. Judiciary Faculty of MIPA University of Jember Period 6 Academic Year 2025/2026

FMIPA UNEJ held the 82nd Postgraduate Judiciary (S2) and the 115th Bachelor of the Faculty of MIPA University of Jember Period 6 Academic Year 2025/2026 (18/12). Located in the Auditorium of the Department of Physics FMIPA University of Jember which has just been renovated. In his speech, FMIPA UNEJ Dean Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. congratulations and successful completion of studies at FMIPA University of Jember. “The graduation achievement of the judiciary is a reflection of the FMIPA tagline three point five rank 4,” he said. Dean until 3.5 years FMIPA students can scribble exam, the second maximum possible to get a GPA of 3.5 to compete with competitors in the world of work. Next 3.5 months waiting period graduates get jobs and last 3.5 million is the first salary FMIPA graduates get.

Prof. Dafik said FMIPA graduates must have value combined with long life education to be valuable in society. “FMIPA’s tagline Create, Innovate, Achieve is a combined goal of value and long life education coupled with self-awareness or metacognition so that graduates become reliable in the midst of today’s job competition,” he said. The FMIPA Dean presided over an open meeting of the MIPA Faculty senate accompanied by FMIPA Vice Deans I, II, and III. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 5, Academic Year 2025/2026

FThe Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held the 114th Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for the 5th Period of the 2025/2026 Academic Year (11/18). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium of the Faculty. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He also informed that in the next few months, UNEJ’s status will change from a BLU to a PTNBH. “If PTNBH becomes a legal entity (PTNBH), there will be greater opportunities for FMIPA to open new study programs, and this has been appreciated by the Rector, the closest being the data science study program,” he began. The opening of study programs will result in an increased number of students who will be mentored to participate in society, like the graduates at this morning’s graduation ceremony.

Prof. Dafik stated that strong alumni data is needed to track the progress of FMIPA graduates in society. “With this data, we are preparing an OBE curriculum that will broaden the reach of alumni and enable them to choose their desired career fields,” he continued. Prof. Dafik also expressed his hope that a bachelor’s degree is not the end, but rather a foundation for lifelong learning. “Continue learning, be consistent in your efforts, and ultimately you will achieve victory and success,” he concluded.
