Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period VIII, Academic Year 2024/2025

FMIPA UNEJ held the 76th Postgraduate (S2) and 108th Undergraduate Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period VIII, Academic Year 2024/2025 (16/4). Held in the Auditorium of the Entrepreneurship Building, University of Jember. In the graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on graduating and preparing to enter the real world, namely the world of work. “Congratulations, you have graduated and are now ready to enter society through the world of work or continue your studies,” said Prof. Dafik. Current job prospects include becoming teachers; it is said that the world of Indonesian education still needs many educators, and opportunities for FMIPA alumni can follow that with the PPG program.

Graduation is also about trying all fields of work because FMIPA alumni have the provisions. There are many job vacancies available through the internet pages that are widely spread. “You can start hunting for work through job vacancies on the internet; there are many opportunities spread across various fields and places,” he continued. Not only around the Jember area, Prof. Dafik also challenged the graduates to spread their wings to get job opportunities. It was also conveyed that for those who want to continue their studies, the master’s program at FMIPA has accommodated four fields of undergraduate alumni. At the end of his speech, the dean advised the graduates to be able to contribute after achieving their dreams. “Return to the alma mater to contribute in the form of sharing experiences and filling in tracer studies for alumni,” he concluded. 107th Graduation of Undergraduate Program (S1) FMIPA UNEJ Period VII Academic Year 2024/2025

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Jember (UNEJ) held its 107th graduation ceremony for Bachelor’s Degree (S1) students, Period VII, Academic Year 2024/2025 on December 6. The event took place at the Auditorium of the Entrepreneurship Building at Universitas Jember. In his speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates, highlighting that their success was proof of their resilience. He said, “Congratulations, you have graduated as evidence of your strength and endurance during your studies to earn your degree.” He emphasized that this resilience would be essential when they face challenges in society.

The graduates were reminded that success isn’t just about high grades but also about creativity and innovation. “Surveys show that success comes not only from GPA, but those who succeed are the ones who keep being creative and innovative,” Prof. Dafik said. He also reminded them that environmental innovation is crucial and encouraged them to seize these opportunities through hard work and prayer. “Pray and work hard as preparation for the challenges ahead, so that you can achieve success, health, and safety in this life and the next,” he added. 75th Postgraduate Program Graduation Ceremony 104th and 105th Undergraduate Program FMIPA UNEJ Period 4 & 5 Academic Year 2024/2025

FMIPA UNEJ held the 75th Postgraduate (S2) and 104th and 105th Undergraduate (S1) Program Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 4 & 5, Academic Year 2024/2025 (27/9). This FMIPA graduation combined 2 periods at once. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the graduates to immediately prepare themselves after the graduation by holding two keywords in achieving success. “After the graduation and graduation, immediately prepare to achieve success with 2 keywords, namely persistence and consistency, because in navigating the world ahead, you will definitely encounter what is called failure,” said Prof. Dafik.

With persistence and consistency will show someone’s success. The Dean of FMIPA also mentioned the importance of smart work to support persistence and consistency. “Hard work is important but smart work is more important especially in solving a problem in community life,” he continued. If the combination works well then someone’s success will come, and all religions have taught it. “The last one, lose dependence on parents, stand on your own two feet to determine success in the future,” he concluded.
