Previous Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Keboan Jombang, this month FMIPA University of Jember visited SMA PGRI 1 Jombang. In the Physics Department Auditorium, Vice Dean I of FMIPA University of Jember, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. together with Vice Dean II of FMIPA Kosala Dwidja Purnomo, S.Si., M.Si. welcome and introduce FMIPA to the students. “FMIPA UNEJ has 4 Undergraduate Program and 3 Master Programs, all accredited B and A for Physics Degree Program” said Vice Dean I at the beginning of speech. Achievements from FMIPA students are also submitted at national and international level. FMIPA has produced alumni spread across several jobs, from governments such as teachers, lecturers and civil servants. “Students are not only studying at FMIPA but learning environmentally friendly with Earth Day event every year. Vice Dean II of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences explained that the school prepares valid data for students who want to take the course with Bidik Misi program through SNMPTN or SBMPTN. “Student selection must be maintained and upload valid data” he said to 80 students of SMA PGRI 1 Jombang who followed the campus study to FMIPA. As known University of Jember every year to receive students through several selection of SNMPTN and SBMPTN both of which there Bidik Misi program. SBMPTBR which is divided into 2 time selection.
Participants of SMA PGRI 1 Jombang campus study also visited the departments at FMIPA. Divided into four groups in rotation to learn and know the study program in FMIPA namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan (HMJ) invites students to know the classroom, laboratory and infrastructure facilities available in the departments. Also introduced tools used for the practicum of Basic Physics, Basic Chemistry and Basic Biology. In the Mathematics Department, students are introduced to applications used by students for practicum such as Maple, Matlab and online application from statistical laboratories.
