Dean of FMIPA Officially Inaugurates ORMAWA FMIPA Jember University in 2025

The Dean of the FMIPA Faculty at UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., officially swore in the new leadership of the ORMAWA (Student Organizations) at FMIPA UNEJ for the 2025 term on January 20, 2025, in the FMIPA Physics Department Auditorium. In his speech, the Dean encouraged the new leaders to continue the programs from the previous leadership. “To the new leaders, continue the work of the outgoing leaders, keep developing for the progress of the organization, and help achieve recognition for FMIPA,” said the Dean. He emphasized that the goal of the FMIPA recognition program is to promote the faculty’s name, and hopes ORMAWA will be actively involved in it.

Prof. Dafik also agreed with the theme of the inauguration, which is “ORMAWA Synergy to Create a Creative, Innovative, and Accomplished FMIPA UNEJ.” He shared that this slogan was first introduced when he started his leadership, along with a motto for students: “Three point five to the power of four.” This slogan will guide the progress of FMIPA, especially for students, and the ORMAWA leaders are expected to play a key role. “The ORMAWA leaders must lead by example, inspire in the middle, and provide support from behind so that we can all work together with FMIPA,” he concluded. To wrap up, the Dean called on students to help make FMIPA more successful by being productive, creative, innovative, and adaptable.

Before that, Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si., the Vice Dean III of FMIPA UNEJ, read the Dean’s decision on the appointment of the new ORMAWA leadership for 2025. This was followed by a reading of the names of the new leaders, including the Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer of ORMAWA for the 2025 term. The Dean then read the inauguration text for the BPM, BEM, HMJ, and UKM FMIPA UNEJ leaders for the 2025 term.

The inauguration pledge was led by the Chairperson of BEM FMIPA and followed by all the newly appointed ORMAWA leaders. Inayah Maulidiyah Indar Prawansa, the Chairperson of BEM FMIPA for 2024, also shared her reflections, messages, motivation, and hopes for the new leaders to take ORMAWA to even greater heights. “On behalf of the 2024 leadership, I thank the institution for its support in making several programs possible, and I hope the new leadership will continue the work to make FMIPA even better,” she said.
