Dean Prof. Dafik Invites FMIPA Academic Community to Welcome UNEJ’s Status Transition to PTN-BH

Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the academic community of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences to prepare and participate in the plan to change the status of University of Jember to Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum (PTN-BH). “At the end of this year there will be a big moment; at UNEJ, our campus will prepare to become a PTN-BH; let’s welcome and participate in it,” said the Dean of FMIPA at the Apel Pagi on Monday morning (9/9). It was said that during PTN-BH there would be no more PNS recruitment, so the current opportunity could be utilized if there were colleagues who met the requirements to join UNEJ. The acceleration of promotion and functional for lecturers and education staff was also mentioned.

“This year, several of our lecturers and education staff will enter retirement, including professors, so immediately prepare to fill them, as well as senior lecturers, while young lecturers are also preparing for doctoral studies,” he continued. Prof. Dafik also conveyed the good news that FMIPA can already hold lectures in the ISDB building north of FMIPA. “We, FMIPA, can already utilize floors 4, 5, and 6 in the ISDB building for lectures and student organization activities; please utilize them and, for use, coordinate with the Head of General Affairs of FMIPA,” he invited. It was also said that classes in the UNEJ Entrepreneurship building can also be used for Masters lectures. Continue reading

Vice Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ Introduces Eleven New Lecturers at Apel Pagi of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember

“At the beginning of this odd semester, FMIPA UNEJ received 11 new lecturers who will strengthen our service to our students,” said Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ. This was conveyed at the Apel Pagi held in the front yard of the FMIPA UNEJ Dean’s Office (5/8). The new lecturers were given the opportunity to introduce themselves because they have become part of FMIPA. “So that all FMIPA residents can get to know each other and can greet each other and in the future can work together, please introduce yourselves, new lecturers,” she continued. It was also conveyed that this year, the mathematics study program has 5 new lecturers, the physics study program has 2 people, the chemistry study program has 3 people, and the study program has 1 new lecturer.

Previously in the morning assembly, Mrs. Hari invited all lecturers in FMIPA to start actively filling in data in the Sistem Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan or SIPALU. “I invite all FMIPA lecturers to fill in SIPALU because this will be very useful during the study program accreditation process,” she explained. She mentioned that the CPL and CPMK assessments of courses are strong supporting data for study program accreditation. Mrs. Hari also reminded the lecturers that lectures must run with the RPS. “Lecturers are attached to the RPS, so the lectures we deliver must refer to it,” she continued. Continue reading

Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Dafik, Leads ‘Apel Pagi’ After Holiday with Eid Al-Fitr 1445 H

The FMIPA academic community at Jember University held the first ‘apel pagi’ after the holiday for Idul Fitri 1445 H (22/4). Prof. Drs. . Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, as the supervisor of the meeting, conveyed a message to emulate Mrs. R.A. Kartini. “In welcoming Kartini Day, I congratulate the mothers in FMIPA UNEJ and continue to fight in various positions to continue Kartini’s struggle,” began the Dean of FMIPA, who was just appointed some time ago.

The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ also said that Mrs. Kartini, with her book “Habis gelap terbitlah terang”  is a figure who deserves to be emulated and is a role model in the implementation of women’s emancipation. “In the book, after darkness comes light, or in Dutch, Door Duisternis Tot Licht, meaning from darkness to light, in the current era, women are expected to be strong and achieve in all fields, even with our mothers at FMIPA UNEJ,” said Prof. Dafik, who was accompanied at the morning assembly by the Vice Dean II and Deputy Dean III, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University.
