Vice Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Hari Sulistiyowati, Leads Apel Pagi After Joint Leave for Eid al-Fitr 1446 H

The academic community of FMIPA, University of Jember, held the first morning assembly after the joint leave for Eid al-Fitr 1446 H (14/4). Prof. Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, as the instructor of the assembly, in his mandate conveyed his appreciation to the lecturers and education personnel who had completed the e-SKP. “I give my appreciation to the DT lecturers and education personnel who focused on completing the e-SKP well last week, in a very short time,” she said. She said that even though the circular was issued a few days before Eid, because the data had been received, the FMIPA e-SKP report could be completed quickly and well.

The FMIPA UNEJ Morning Assembly today was the turn of officers from the Physics Department. FMIPA applies it in rotation every month for morning assembly officers. And it was attended by almost all FMIPA academics. Prof. Hari also reminded study programs in the accreditation process, namely the mathematics undergraduate study program and the biology undergraduate study program, to continue preparing themselves for the field visitation. “Although the field visitation from LAMSAMA has not been carried out until June, please continue to prepare everything because there will be another visitation in July,” she hoped. Prof. Dafik, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember Leads the Morning Assembly at the Beginning of 2025

Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. led the first morning assembly at the beginning of 2025 in the yard of the FMIPA UNEJ Dean’s Office (3/2). The morning assembly procession was slightly different from the format based on the circular from the University of Jember. The position of the leaders and participants of the morning assembly at FMIPA has also changed, now facing the front of the Dean’s office. The assembly officers have also been arranged per department and dean’s office for each month. In his message, the Dean expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the morning harmony with FMIPA as the host. “I and the leadership of FMIPA express our gratitude and appreciation to all academicians so that the morning harmony runs smoothly and successfully,” he said.

It was said that the morning harmony with a relatively short time could be held well thanks to the joint work of all academicians with a high sense of responsibility. Prof. Dafik also said that in yesterday’s morning harmony leadership meeting, they also discussed the performance allowance (tukin) for lecturers. “Lecturer allowances according to government regulations for universities with work unit and BLU status will be paid through a specified scheme,” he explained. The scheme will be adjusted for lecturers who have received remuneration or who have not, so that in the future the income gap between each regular lecturer (DS) and lecturer with additional duties (DT) will be reduced. Increasing Potential and Resources, FMIPA UNEJ and Geopark Ijen Collaborate

Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D., signed a memorandum of understanding with Ijen Geopark, which was attended by Abdillah Baraas, S.T., as Chair of Ijen Geopark (5/1). “This relationship will expand the scope of cooperation that FMIPA carries out, with Ijen Geopark exchanging information and energy in various matters, especially in the environmental sector,” said the Dean of FMIPA at UNEJ. Also present at the event were two Biology Department lecturers who are also environmental activists, Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Arif Mohammad Siddiq, S.Si., M.Si., who have collaborated several times with Geopark Ijen.

There is a lot of potential in the Ijen Geopark that is very possible to explore, including biosites, geosites, and culture sites. The Dean hopes that with the signed memorandum of understanding, there will be more joint activities such as community service research, especially the student MBKM program. “Students who take MBKM can join Ijen Geopark through internships, and lecturers can collaborate on research to utilize the potential of Ijen Geopark,” he continued. Last Working at FMIPA UNEJ, Dr. Teguh Gives Public Lecture at Department of Biology

Dr. Hidayat Teguh Wiyono, M.Pd., a lecturer at Department of Biology FMIPA delivered a Public Lecture in the context of separating from his retirement period (4/7). Mr. Teguh raised the theme “Integrasi Model Tematik Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi dengan KKN Mahasiswa untuk Mewujudkan Visi-Misi Lembaga (Jurusan)“. He shared various experiences while working directly in the community in developing super longan to assisting student Community Service Programs in the Baluran area and sentool plantations.

Mr. Teguh also mentioned that the vision and mission of the University of Jember and FMIPA are related to what he does, namely community service. “The vision and mission of FMIPA and UNEJ have alluded to what I am doing, I hope it will continue and have great opportunities not only for KKN but also for the implementation of MBKM,” he said. He gave the example of the sentool plantation which he last worked on, opening up many opportunities for BKP MBKM to be implemented there. Continue reading

FMIPA UNEJ and BSI Jember Area Strengthen Cooperation, Implement MBKM

Taking place at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Jember Gadjah Mada, FMIPA University of Jember and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia, Tbk Area Jember extended the cooperation agreement (22/2). “This collaboration is the implementation of the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the form of internships, teaching practitioners, research and community service as well as other academic support activities, according to the direction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology regarding Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM),” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D accompanied by the FMIPA Cooperation Team.

Present at the event were Area Manager of Bank Syariah Indonesia Jember Area M. Reza Kamal as a signatory of the Cooperation Agreement in this case represented by Barid Paladin Apramada, Branch Manager of BSI Jember Area. FMIPA UNEJ Extends Collaboration with Plantation Sentool Panti Jember

FMIPA Jember University with the Sentool Panti Jember Plantation extended the cooperation agreement (31/1). Located at Wisma Brawijaya, the FMIPA team was directly led by the Dean of FMIPA Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. received by the Head of Plantation Sentool Sugiyana and his staff. “In the last year many activities have been produced after the signing of the PKS, MBKM activities, community service by FMIPA lecturers as well,” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ.

Furthermore, the Dean said that through the MBKM Independent Study/Project BKP, UNEJ FMIPA students gained a lot of useful knowledge in sentool plantations. In community service driven by Dr. Teguh Hidayat Wiyono from Biology also succeeded in sharing his knowledge with the community around the plantation. “The longan tree has started to thrive thanks to Mr. Teguh’s direction, now fish seeds are the next program by looking at a good pond and irrigation here,” he said.
