FMIPA UNEJ and BSI Jember Area Strengthen Cooperation, Implement MBKM

Taking place at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Jember Gadjah Mada, FMIPA University of Jember and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia, Tbk Area Jember extended the cooperation agreement (22/2). “This collaboration is the implementation of the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the form of internships, teaching practitioners, research and community service as well as other academic support activities, according to the direction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology regarding Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM),” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D accompanied by the FMIPA Cooperation Team.

Present at the event were Area Manager of Bank Syariah Indonesia Jember Area M. Reza Kamal as a signatory of the Cooperation Agreement in this case represented by Barid Paladin Apramada, Branch Manager of BSI Jember Area. Also several BSI staff, namely Purwadi Yusroni (Retail Transaction Area), Nimas Ria Angraini (Digital Retail & Sales Officer), and Faizar Rahma (Funding Transaction Representative).

BSI welcomes this collaboration as one of the implementations of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) with areas covering Lumajang, Jember, Bondowoso, Situbondo and Banyuwangi. This CSR aims to create and maintain good relations with the environment around the company and work together to provide great benefits to the surrounding community in matters relating to education.

Furthermore, Vice Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ for academic affairs Drs Siswoyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. stated that there is a possibility of exploring sustainable cooperation in the field of financing for students who will be entrepreneurship. “The more varied types of cooperation will have an impact on increasing the IKU (Indikator Kinerja Utama) FMIPA UNEJ,” he said.

At the end of signing of this collaboration, the Coordinator of Mathematics S1 Study Program, Dr. Kiswara Agung Santoso, S.Si, M.Kom. said that there were approximately fifty students who registered as apprentices at BSI. “Students who have registered will be selected by BSI for acceptance and placement of their internship locations,” he concluded.
