Biology Department Students, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Field Lectures in Bali and Baluran

Students of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember carry out field lectures again through observations by enriching objects and natural phenomena. Field lectures cannot be carried out by all UNEJ students, including students of the Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, during the last Covid-19 pandemic. With the pandemic easing, the Biology Department is back to carry out field lectures, but still for the 2020 batch of students as a start. Sistematika Tumbuhan course observes the collection of the Eka Karya Botanical Gardens, Tabanan Regency, Bali.

The management of the Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden is carried out by Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) and organizationally is under the guidance of the Bogor Botanical Gardens Plant Conservation Center. Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden has a collection of plants including orchids, ferns, begonias and cacti. This is suitable for Biology students, especially Sistematika Tumbuhan course, to conduct field lectures. Continue reading
