Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Graduation Ceremony, Jember University, Period 7, Academic Year 2025/2026

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held its 116th Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University, Period 7, Academic Year 2025/2026 (January 21). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to be competitive when entering society. “Today’s workforce requires workers with KKNI (National Qualifications Framework) level 6, so I hope that with the knowledge gained from studying at FMIPA, I can remain competitive,” he began. At this level, individuals must master various more complex competencies. They must possess strong managerial skills, be able to make strategic decisions, and be capable of development and innovation.

Prof. Dafik stated that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, with its motto of “creativity,” will continue to produce energetic, multi-tasking, and multi-talented graduates. This motto, supported by creativity, enables graduates to be independent. “Don’t rely solely on a science degree, but develop your creativity so you can work in various fields, which are currently rapidly evolving,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance prayer and effort to achieve success. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences led an open meeting of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences senate, accompanied by the Vice Deans II and III of the Faculty. All members of the FMIPA senate, as well as invited guests representing the teaching and administrative staff of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University, were present. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 5, Academic Year 2025/2026

FThe Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held the 114th Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for the 5th Period of the 2025/2026 Academic Year (11/18). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium of the Faculty. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He also informed that in the next few months, UNEJ’s status will change from a BLU to a PTNBH. “If PTNBH becomes a legal entity (PTNBH), there will be greater opportunities for FMIPA to open new study programs, and this has been appreciated by the Rector, the closest being the data science study program,” he began. The opening of study programs will result in an increased number of students who will be mentored to participate in society, like the graduates at this morning’s graduation ceremony.

Prof. Dafik stated that strong alumni data is needed to track the progress of FMIPA graduates in society. “With this data, we are preparing an OBE curriculum that will broaden the reach of alumni and enable them to choose their desired career fields,” he continued. Prof. Dafik also expressed his hope that a bachelor’s degree is not the end, but rather a foundation for lifelong learning. “Continue learning, be consistent in your efforts, and ultimately you will achieve victory and success,” he concluded. Signing of the 2023 Performance Agreement at FMIPA, University of Jember

In order to realize government performance that is effective, transparent and accountable and results oriented, it is necessary to have a performance agreement. “The target for achieving the IKU for each study program will be stated in the work agreement at FMIPA, even with the achievement of implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education,” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. The 2023 Performance Agreement Signing Ceremony was carried out by the Dean with the Chair of the Undergraduate and Masters Study Programs at the FMIPA University of Jember (3/3).

The Dean accompanied by Vice Deans I, II and III witnessed by GPM FMIPA signed a work agreement in the dean’s meeting room on the 2nd floor of FMIPA UNEJ. Present on the occasion were the Head of the Mathematics Undergraduate Study Program, the Head of the Mathematics Masters Study Program, the Head of the Physics Undergraduate Study Program, the Head of the Physics Masters Study Program, the Head of the Chemistry Undergraduate Study Program, the Head of the Biology Undergraduate Study Program and the Head of the Biology Masters Study Program.
