The management of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University, led directly by the Chairperson of the DWP FMIPA, Nur Sa’dijah Achmad Sjaifullah, visited the Purnama Jati production house in the Jalan Bungur Gebang Jember area (5/1). “Through the education work program, DWP FMIPA UNEJ wants to improve the skills of its members; one way is by visiting Purnama Jati,” he said. It was further stated that DWP FMIPA members could see firsthand the process of making processed cassava and edamame tape and also learn how to start and manage a business.

Purnama Jati started his business in 2000, starting as a small household business by opening a window in front of the house. “We started the business at a young age using a display case at home; we started several cakes from processed cassava and edamame,” began the story of Mrs. Firdaus, who gave up her civil servant status to dare to become an entrepreneur.
