Halal bi Halal for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, Family of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember

“Alhamdulillah, we can gather through halal bi halal after the holy month of Ramadan. May we receive forgiveness after a full month of worship and be reunited with Ramadan next year,” began the sermon by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., at the Halal bi Halal event for the FMIPA UNEJ Family (April 8). Held at the Baitul Ilmi Mosque, FMIPA UNEJ, the Dean touched on dhikr and reflection. After a month of worship, we continue to consistently remember Allah SWT. “It is our natural human nature to continually pray as an expression of our gratitude for the blessings Allah has given us, one of which is dhikr,” he said.

Prof. Dafik stated that by remembering Allah, we will always remember the Almighty. This will bring us peace, enabling us to better carry out our activities on campus. “The FMIPA Mosque is now more comfortable for worship. Amidst campus activities, we can quietly meditate on dhikr in the mosque,” he continued. Equally important, alongside dhikr is thinking. It forms a unity that can support our lives as we face the present and the future. The 1447 H Halal bi Halal gathering was attended by the entire FMIPA UNEJ academic community, as well as retired lecturers and educational staff. It served as a gathering place for the community and retirees. Continue reading

Rektor UNEJ and Staff Visit Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hold Safari Syawal 1446 Hijriyah

The chancellor, senate chair, vice chancellors, and head of Bureau II visited all faculties, institutions, and Academic Support Units (UPA) on the Tegalboto campus, one of which was the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (9/4). The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., along with the leadership of FMIPA, welcomed the Chancellor in the meeting room of the FMIPA dean’s office building. The Chancellor of UNEJ said Halal bi Halal with lecturers and education staff in each work unit to see firsthand the condition of each work unit. Lecture activities have been running, especially practical courses that require students to be on campus. Likewise with academic activities and other supporting activities.

Prof. Dafik also said that although it was the first day of work yesterday, according to the circular that was present, the activities at FMIPA were more or less the same. “Yesterday, even though it was online, several lecturers were also present to carry out practical lectures, while the education staff were instructed to attend,” he said. The dean also reported on the development of new study programs that will be opened by FMIPA UNEJ in the near future. Discussions and presentations of the progress of each new study program task force continue to be held. The chancellor appreciated it, saying that it was the same as when the Faculty of Agricultural Technology discussed the possibility of opening study programs that were relevant to the demands of the world of work, such as study programs related to culinary.

Today the Chancellor and his staff visited 8 faculties, namely FTP, FF, FKEP, FKM, FKG, FK, FT, and FMIPA. The day before, they had visited and socialized at Fasilkom, FISIP, FIB, FEB, UPA Bahasa, FH, FKIP, LP2M, and Faperta. Each work unit took the time to discuss with the leadership the developments and work plans that would be carried out. And of course, socializing with lecturers and education staff in the work unit. Of course, it was closed with a photo session together with the leaders of the work units along with the teaching staff and employees.

FMIPA itself has a custom: when the first day of work comes in, they immediately line up in front of the FMIPA dean’s building to celebrate Eid together, shaking hands and forgiving each other. Telling each other the agendas carried out during Eid and the joint leave yesterday. The Dean of FMIPA also gave a little hint that there will be a Halal bi Halal, with a simple event. “We can do it simply, after the agenda of activities such as the inauguration of professors, graduation, and graduation,” he concluded.
