The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Jember University, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., officially inaugurated the Student Organization (ORMAWA) Management of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Jember University for the 2026 term (February 3) at the Auditorium of the Physics Department, FMIPA UNEJ. In his remarks, the Dean conveyed the message to the ORMAWA management, emulating the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “To the new management, we must embody the example of tabligh (prophetic teaching), conveying goodness, and being trustworthy in carrying out our duties in every FMIPA student organization agenda,” stated the Dean at the event attended by the Vice Deans, Department Heads, and ORMAWA Advisors. He continued with the principle of siddiq (honesty), which can be applied when reporting, and finally, fathonah (intelligence), which is intelligent, active in student organizations, and with a high GPA.
Prof. Dafik hopes that the FMIPA slogan “Create, Innovate, and Achieve” will continue to be echoed everywhere and embraced, especially by FMIPA students. “Let’s work together to realize this slogan and achieve the FMIPA slogan of 3.5 to the power of 4,” he continued. This slogan will serve as a benchmark for the advancement of FMIPA, especially for students, and the student organization (ORMAWA) administrators can contribute. “ORMAWA administrators must have the spirit of leading by example, encouraging others, and encouraging others, all while synergizing with FMIPA,” he concluded. In closing, the Dean congratulated the new administrators for the 2026 term and expressed his gratitude to the ORMAWA administrators for the 2025 term.
Previously, the Vice Dean III of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, read the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, concerning the Appointment of the Student Organization Management of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the 2026 term. This was followed by the reading of the attachment to the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, which listed the names of the new administrators, the Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the 2026 term. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, read the inauguration text for the Student Executive Board (BPM), Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Association (HMJ), and Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the 2026 term.
The oath-taking ceremony was led by the Chair of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and was attended by all newly inaugurated Student Organization Management (ORMAWA). The Chair of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 2025, also had the opportunity to share his impressions, messages, motivation, and hopes for the new management to take the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences to even greater heights. “On behalf of the 2025 management, I would like to express my gratitude for the institution’s support, which has enabled the realization of several programs and the new management to continue to improve the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences,” he said.
For your information, the Student Organizations (ORMAWA) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember consist of DPM (Student Representative Council), BEM (Student Executive Board), HMJ (Department Student Association), UKMS TITIK (TITIK Arts Student Activity Unit), UKM IONS (Islamic Organization of Mathematics and Natural Science Student Activity Unit), UKM PALAPA (Nature Lovers Student Activity Unit of MIPA), LPMM ALPHA (MIPA ALPHA Student Press Institute), and UKM SPORA (Arts Choir and Sports Student Activity Unit). Each of them has one advisor from the teaching staff element who is also determined along with the ORMAWA management decree in 2026.
