Mathematics National Seminar 2014 held on November 19, 2014. There are three speakers who will deliver major papers at the plenary session on the 3rd floor of the Rectorat Building University of Jember, as Keynote Speaker Dr. Ir. Tjuk Eko Hari Basuki, MST (Kepala Pusat Ketersediaan dan Kerawanan Pangan, Badan Ketahanan Pangan, Kementerian Pertanian RI) which will convey the theme of the seminar “Peran Matematika/Statistika dalam Mengembangkan Pertanian Industrial untuk Mendukung Kedaulatan Pangan Nasional“. Dr. Bagus Sartono, M.Si (Secretary of Department of Statistics Institut Pertanian Bogor) as Invited Speaker convey the theme “Aplikasi Mixed Integer Linier Programming” and last Prof. Drs. Kusno, DEA, Ph.D (The Dean of FMIPA University of Jember) as Plenary Speaker delivering research developments in the field of Geometri Rancang Bangun.
Mathematics National Seminar 2014 receive 89 papers for a seminar on Parallel Session which took place in the building of the Department of Mathematics University of Jember. Participants them from Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), University of Jember, Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang, Universitas Khairun Ternate, Universitas PGRI Jakarta, SMKN Lingsar Lombok Barat, Badan Pusat Statistika (BPS) Kabupaten Situbondo and several offices, teachers at eks-karesidenan Besuki.
The parallel classes were held in the Department of Mathematics are:
1. In Statistics I moderated Dian Anggraeni, S.Si., M.Si followed by 11 Speakers.
2. In Statistics II by the moderator Muflihatus Surur, S.Si followed by 11 Speakers.
3. Field of Mathematics Education with moderator Kusbudiono, S.Si., M.Si attended by 14 Speakers.
4. Field of Analysis and Applied Mathematics moderated by Ahmad Kamsyakawuni, S.Si., M.Kom followed by 13 Speakers.
5. Field Geometry and the moderator Kiswara Agung Santoso, S.Si., M.Kom followed by 6 Speakers.
6. Field Graf Theory I moderated Dimas Bagus C.W and Randi Nana D., S.Si attended by 18 Speakers.
7. Field Graf Theory II with moderator Ziaul M. Arif, S.Si., M.Sc attended by 17 Speakers.
In addition to parallel classes, at the Mathematics National Seminar 2014 was held a guest lecture by Dr. Bagus Sartono, M.Si (IPB) with theme “Ensemble dan Data Mining” held in Conference Room Building, 2nd Floor UPT TI University of Jember. The participants are students who are taking courses Mathematics and Statistics Mathematics. This event was hosted by Dr. Alfian Futuhul Hadi who is also the Chairman of the Committee Mathematics National Seminar 2014.
