New Student Inauguration Concludes the PPMB 2026 at the FMIPA UNEJ

Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, officially concluded the 2026 Faculty-level Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Mahasiswa Baru (PPMB) program on September 13. The event culminated in an inauguration night featuring an arts performance by the new students. The 2026 PPMB program covered topics such as PKM, ONMIPA, PPK ORMAWA, PKM mentoring, and a UKM expo. “With the material provided, students are expected to keep learning without giving up in order to achieve success,” the Dean stated. In the current era, students must become autonomous learners taking initiative and responsibility for their studies rather than relying solely on instructors or lecturers.

The Dean of the FMIPA UNEJ stated that new students are expected to learn not only about their specific scientific disciplines but also about a wide range of subjects, aiming to become multitalented individuals. “To truly shine, you must master various areas; that radiance will emanate from the knowledge you possess within yourself,” he remarked. Prof. Dafik also highlighted “ARUNIKA” signifying the first rays of light after sunrise as well as the 2026 PPMB theme: Melangkah Bersama, Menembus Cakrawala. “With the spirit of ARUNIKA, new students must put these values ​​into practice and pursue their studies at FMIPA with enthusiasm, so that they may attain a future filled with the light of new hope,” he concluded. The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Opens the Event and Inducts New Students at the PPMB FMIPA UNEJ 2026

Held at the FMIPA UNEJ parking lot, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), officially opened the 2026 New Student Guidance and Development (PPMB) program for the University of Jember’s FMIPA (5/9). “Welcome to FMIPA; I hope this year’s PPMB brings about tangible breakthroughs through the introduction of programs such as PPK Ormawa, PKM, and Satria Data, ultimately resulting in the creation of prototypes,” he began. Citing the FMIPA motto “Create, Innovate, Achieve” the Dean emphasized that students should not stop at mere written outputs or simulations. “Do not simply produce concepts or settle for simulations; instead, continue to develop your work and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to create actual prototypes,” he advised.

The Dean also encouraged students to utilize AI to support their studies, aiming to enhance efficiency and accessibility. “FMIPA students must be capable of becoming AI agents, given their strong foundational knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as data science,” he expressed. The remarks concluded with the FMIPA UNEJ slogan: “Berkreasi, Berinovasi, Berprestasi” Attendees at the opening ceremony included the Vice Dean for Student Affairs (Vice Dean III), department heads, and the leaders of student associations (HMJ) and student organizations (ORMAWA) within FMIPA. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Opens and Inaugurates New Students at PPMB FMIPA Jember University in 2024

Located in the parking lot of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., officially opened the implementation of the 2024 New Student Guidance and Development (PPMB) of FMIPA Universitas Jember (21/9). “With PPMB, FMIPA students will be equipped with academic and non-academic skills by the supervising lecturers and student organizations in FMIPA,” he began. The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ hopes that PPMB will make FMIPA students who can take part in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Indonesia. “I hope that the provision of PPMB 2024 will make students play a role in the SDGs initiated by the Indonesian government when they graduate from FMIPA UNEJ,” he said.

Prof. Dafik also reminded FMIPA of its desire to make its graduates achieve 3.5 to the power of 4. The first is that as much as possible 3.5 years of FMIPA students can take their thesis exams; the second is as much as possible to get a GPA of 3.5 to compete with competitors in the world of work. “The next 3.5 is the 3.5-month waiting period for FMIPA graduates to get a job, and the last 3.5 million is the first salary that FMIPA graduates get,” hoped the Dean. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Officially Opens PPMB FMIPA Jember University in 2023

Located in the FMIPA UNEJ parking lot, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D., officially opened the Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Mahasiswa Baru (PPMB) at FMIPA Jember University in 2023 (16/9). “This year’s PPMB implementation will be fully offline again, which will be carried out every Saturday from September 9 to September 30, 2023,” he said. The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ hopes that all new students will be able to manage their time and maintain their health so they can take part in PPMB 2023 amidst the busy schedule of lectures from morning to evening with mandatory courses that must be taken.

“Manage your time as best as possible, maintain your diet, and rest because PPMB 2023 at the weekend is when your energy is fully devoted to lectures and practicums,” he advised. Like last year, FMIPA UNEJ will focus on the Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM). There will be material on controlling ideas and PKM writing training. FMIPA concentrates on PKM because it hopes that with the many new students this year, there will be several groups that will be able to penetrate the national level.
