FMIPA UNEJ Physics Department holds the 4th SENAFIS again in 2023 after the Pandemic.

The Department of Physics, FMIPA, University of Jember is again holding the 4th National Physics Seminar (SENAFIS) in 2023 (7/9). Taking the theme Menjawab Tantangan Era Society 5.0 Pasca Pandemi Covid 19 we will present the keynote speakers, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rashid Bin Mohamed Sharif, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Prof. Agus Subekti, Ph.D., University of Jember, and Dede DJuhana, Ph.D., University of Indonesia. Also invited were speakers Dr. Erma Yulihastin from BRIN, Ir. Misto, M.Si., and Dr. Yuda Cahyoargo Hariadi, M.Sc., Ph.D., second, from the Physics Department, FMIPA UNEJ. SENAFIS 4 2023 was held offline in the Physics Auditorium and online via Zoom meeting.

The event was officially opened by Vice Chancellor I of the University of Jember, Prof. Drs. Slamin, M.Comp.Sc., Ph.D. “Physics is the foundation, and there are famous scientists from the field of physics, so this event is very appropriate to be held as a place to share information from speakers until the parallel session later,” he said. Prof. Slamin also quoted a conversation between Albert Einstein and Charlie Chaplin. “What I admire most about your art is its universality. You don’t say a word, but the whole world understands you,” Einstein told Chaplin. Chaplin replied to this remark: “That’s right. But your glory is even greater! In 2023, the Biology Department will hold the 5th ICOLIB and the Physics Department will hold the 4th SENAFIS

In 2023, two Departments at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, namely Biology and Physics, are holding another routine event every 2 years. The Biology Department will hold The 5th ICOLIB 2023 which will take the theme “Global Insights and Innovations of Life Sciences Research in the Post COVID-19 Era“. ICOLIB or International Conference on Life Sciences and Biotechnology is an international seminar that has been regularly held since 2015 by the Department of Biology. Presenting speakers from researchers to Nobel peace laureates. Each year also takes a different theme by paying attention to hot issues.

Next is SENAFIS, the National Seminar on Physics which is being held by the Department of Physics for the fourth time. In 2023 the theme is “Menjawab Tantangan Era Society 5.0 Pasca Pandemi Covid 19“. Continue reading →

Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Second National Seminar of Physics (SENAFIS) 2017 with the theme “Improving Physics Contribution and Its Application In The Framework Towards IPTEK Aspiration in Global Era” on Friday – Saturday (17-18 November 2017) Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc. Professor of Integrated Optics and Optoelectronics who is also Dean of Faculty of Science ITS Surabaya, Dr. Dwa Desa Warnana, S.Si, M.Si. from ITS Surabaya and Febdian Rusydi, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. from UNAIR Surabaya. The first day of the Second SENAFIS event in 2017, a workshop was held at the Physics Auditorium. In his speech, Dean of FMIPA Universitas Jember Drs. Sujito, Ph.D. opened the event to convey the participants of the workshop consisting of undergraduate and graduate students of Physics to explore the science of the speaker. “Do not just look for certificates for SKPI, but get knowledge from the speakers who are competent in their field” he explained. Seminar Nasional Fisika 2015 (SENAFIS 2015 ) was officially opened by the Rector of the University of Jember, Drs. Moh. Hasan, M.Sc., Ph.D. at Opening Ceremony held Friday, August 28, 2015 in Building 3rd Floor R. Achmad, University of Jember. Keynote Speakers at the session attended by approximately 150 national participants and for the Parallel Session, held at the Department of Physics,Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of Jember followed by some of speakers of academics, practitioners and educators in particular Students, Teachers and Lecturers.

Physics National Seminar 2015

Technology independence is an important component toward independence. It is undeniable that technological development can not be separated from fundamental research such as research in the field of physics, the educational process and also the availability of sufficient energy resources and one of them is nuclear energy.

To reach this technological independence it needs more information digalakan and disseminated the results of the development of research, especially in physics. In order to support the dissemination and sharing of information research results in efforts to strengthen the nation’s technological independence, the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember held a Physics National Seminar 2015 (SENAFIS 2015) on August 28 to 29, 2015. with theme “Kontribusi Fisika dan IPTEK Nuklir dalam Mewujudkan Kemandirian Teknologi Bangsa”
