Mila Hidayatul Aula, Physics Master’s Student, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Participates in the [in]Visible Power Female Leadership Camp in Russia

Mila Hidayatul Aula, a Master of Physics student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jakarta (UNEJ), and ten other participants received full scholarships. She outperformed more than 220 applicants from 20 countries who registered for the [in]Visible Power Female Leadership Camp program, held from September 21-29, 2025, in Obninsk and Moscow. Mila, along with participants from 20 countries, had the opportunity to learn leadership, public communication, and career development strategies in science and technology. She believes this global insight will have a significant impact on the world of research in Indonesia. “I personally want to encourage international research collaborations focused on the safe and sustainable use of nuclear energy,” said Mila.

Mila said honesty and self-reflection in her motivational essay were key to her success. “The committee wants to know not only what we have achieved, but also the reasons behind it,” she continued. Research and scientific communication help demonstrate that participants must have a passion for playing an active role and inspiring others. Mila also had the opportunity to learn leadership, public communication, and career development strategies in science and technology. Mila believes this global insight will have a significant impact on the research world in Indonesia in general and her alma mater, the University of Jember, in particular. Mila encourages women to boldly step out of their comfort zones to broaden their global perspectives.

The “[in]Visible Power” program is part of the transformation of the Obninsk Tech Women’s Summer School into the Obninsk Tech Leadership Academy, a high-impact training initiative that will officially launch in 2025. The academy aims to equip young professionals with non-technical skills such as leadership, public communication, and career development, essential for future leadership. Separately, Mila expressed her gratitude and pride for participating in this prestigious, world-class program.

“I am very grateful and proud to represent the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the world stage after going through a rigorous selection process with participants from all over the world,” Mila said. This program is recognized as a best practice in education and inclusion by several international institutions such as the IAEA, B20, and G20. The participation of physics master’s students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (UNEJ), in this program demonstrates their active contribution to the global arena and reflects the faculty’s commitment to encouraging students to continue developing and achieving at the global level. Congratulations and best of luck to Mila Hidayatul Aula.
