Dr. Fendi Setyawan, S.H., M.H. UNEJ Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni together with Drs. Andang Subaharianto, M.Hum. UNEJ Senate Chair visited FMIPA in the framework of the implementation of PKKMB 2026 (13/8). Welcomed by the Vice Deans II and III of FMIPA, Vice Rector III and the Senate Chair were pleased to tour around to monitor the implementation of PKKMB. “How is the implementation of PKKMB at FMIPA? How is the food? It’s good and delicious, right, because we want to give the best for UNEJ new students,” said Vice Rector III UNEJ in front of new students in the FMIPA Physics Auditorium. Vice Rector III also had the opportunity to interact with several new students from Java, asking for their impressions and making UNEJ their choice of study.
“Are there any of you from outside Java? What are your impressions and why did you choose UNEJ as your campus to study?” he asked. One of the new students from Jayapura, Papua, said they were happy to be able to study at UNEJ, a new student from Binjai, North Sumatra, said the cost of living in Jember is cheaper, and finally, a new student from Lombok said UNEJ is better than universities in his area. Previously, the Vice Rector III and the Chair of the UNEJ Senate visited the health services of the FMIPA new students accompanied by a team from the UNEJ Student Affairs Division. FMIPA UNEJ has provided a special room and location for adequate health services and medicines for new students in PPKMB 2026.
UNEJ Senate Chairman Drs. Andang Subaharianto, M.Hum. also motivated new students to prepare themselves early to achieve their future. “From the beginning, equip yourself with hard skills and soft skills. You can take part in many trainings, you can join student organizations to hone your soft skills,” he said. The Senate Chairman also said that soft skills will appear in the transcript as added value and provisions in the future. He also reminded that it is time for students who do not depend on others to achieve their future. “The future is on your shoulders, prepare from now, attend lectures well, take care of your health, and determine your future,” he concluded.
The visit of the Vice Rector III and the Chair of the UNEJ Senate to FMIPA and all faculties at UNEJ is an effort to provide the best service for new students at PKKMB 2026. Previously, FMIPA also received a monitoring and evaluation visit from the UNEJ Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP). Received by the Vice Dean III of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si. accompanied by the Head of General Affairs of FMIPA Muhayat Zamroni, S.S. The LPMPP Team Dr. Muhammad Reza, S.Si., M.Si. asked about the preparations that FMIPA UNEJ had made in implementing PKKMB in 2026. Starting from infrastructure at FMIPA, delivery of PKKMB materials, health posts, consumption services, to introduction of disaster mitigation.
