FMIPA UNEJ held the 75th Postgraduate (S2) and 104th and 105th Undergraduate (S1) Program Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 4 & 5, Academic Year 2024/2025 (27/9). This FMIPA graduation combined 2 periods at once. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the graduates to immediately prepare themselves after the graduation by holding two keywords in achieving success. “After the graduation and graduation, immediately prepare to achieve success with 2 keywords, namely persistence and consistency, because in navigating the world ahead, you will definitely encounter what is called failure,” said Prof. Dafik.
With persistence and consistency will show someone’s success. The Dean of FMIPA also mentioned the importance of smart work to support persistence and consistency. “Hard work is important but smart work is more important especially in solving a problem in community life,” he continued. If the combination works well then someone’s success will come, and all religions have taught it. “The last one, lose dependence on parents, stand on your own two feet to determine success in the future,” he concluded.
