After Ramadhan and Eid, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is back to Organizing Apel Senin

Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. led the first rally after some time not being held due to month of Ramadan and Eid holiday (15/5). “Alhamdulillah, we can carry out the routine assembly every Monday, after Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr last week because there is a 2023 SNBT UTBK,” he said in begin of Apel. The Dean also said this routine agenda was a forum for conveying the latest information, achievements and targets from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The rally was attended by the entire academic community from elements of lecturers and education staff with officers who rotated every week.

“In this month and next we will lose a few days due to holidays, so we ask the lecturers to immediately adjust their lectures before holding the final semester exams,” he continued. The dean also mentioned the process of applying for ranks from lecturers and laboratory staff including professors who are now entering their final stages after an extension of time. The process has been prepared since the beginning of last year, with assistance for the process of collecting credit scores and their files.

Accompanied by the Vice Deans, the Dean said that a special team had been formed to act as a peer reviewer of journals that included credit scores. “Starting today, the team will work to complete it according to the specified deadline,” he said. Because of that, Dean urged lecturers and PLP staff who are in the process to prepare themselves if supporting data is needed. All of this is intended so that the achievements of IKU 1 to 8 can be fulfilled.

At the end of the speech, the Dean also congratulated and thanked DWP FMIPA who had won 3rd place in the make-up competition in the Catur Wulan DWP University of Jember a few days ago. “I congratulate and thank DWP FMIPA for winning the Champion for the first time in the UNEJ DWP event,” he concluded. In closing, the Dean invited the community to participate in the FMIPA website through writing both the results of the research and the agenda that was carried out.
