In February of 2015 yesterday 4 lecturers from Department of Biology visit to the University of Applied Sciences Flensburg Germany. Led by Chairman of the Department of Biology Dr. rer. nat Kartika Senjarini, M.Sc. delegation of Purwatiningsih S.Si, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Secretary of the Department of Biology), Sattya Arimurti S.P., M.Sc., Dra. Rike Oktarianti, M.Si talks of cooperation between the two universities related to microbiology.

In addition, this biology lecturer staff visit as a reply from Prof. Dr. Helmut Erdmann who has six months in the Department of Biology, FMIPA University of Jember who has given a lot of knowledge to the staff Lecturer in Biology. Meanwhile, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has approved a four-year collaborative project with a financial volume of € 360,000.

At the end of the meeting expected to be held seminars or workshops that discuss biotechnology in particular micro-organisms which spoil food in Indonesia, especially the University of Jember.
