Faculty of Engineering UPN Veteran Jawa Timur conducted a comparative study and assessment of collaboration with FMIPA UNEJ (24/11). The delegation was led by Dr. Minto Waluyo, M.M. Vice Dean III accompanied by Head of Physics Study Program, FT UPN. “Our presence is for comparative studies and exploring cooperation in improving lecturer performance in order to achieve IKU,” said Minto. Furthermore, a more specific visit was made to the Physics Study Program FMIPA. “FT UPN Veteran has just opened a Physics study program, so we need a lot of discussions with FMIPA Physics,” he continued.
To note, the Physics study program at Faculty of Engineering UPN Veteran just opened in the 2022/2023 academic year. So that it is necessary to establish cooperation with the Physics Study Program FMIPA which will be contained in the agreement material. FMIPA UNEJ as the host was represented by Vice Dean I Drs. Siswoyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Vice Dean III Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si. who is also a lecturer in the Physics Study Program, FMIPA.
On this occasion the two institutions shared and explained the profiles of each faculty. “Physics Study Program FMIPA has accreditation A, and hopefully it can be maintained after last week, carrying out field studies from LAMSAMA,” said Siswoyo. That Chemistry lecturer also said his study program was also conducting accreditation at LAMSAMA on a different day with the Physics study program. Then conveyed about campus life at FMIPA UNEJ.
Dr. Minto in his presentation said that Faculty of Engineering UPN Veteran has 7 study programs namely chemical engineering, industrial engineering, food technology, environmental engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and recently opened physics study program. “We hope that the cooperation agreement with FMIPA Physics can be a guide in managing the UPN Veteran Physics Study Program,” he hoped. The event was closed by handing over souvenirs between the Physics Study Program and also between the FT UPN Veterans Jawa Timur and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember.
