LAMSAMA Accreditation Field Assessment for Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA UNEJ

The team of Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA) conducted a field assessment for the accreditation of the Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA UNEJ. The Chancellor of University of Jember, Iwan Taruna had the opportunity to attend and open the field assessment (14/11). In his remarks, Iwan Taruna said that several study programs at UNEJ were also in the same accreditation process as the Chemistry Pod. “In recent times, several study programs on our campus have also carried out the accreditation process both nationally and internationally,” he said.

Furthermore, Iwan Taruna said that the Chemistry Study Program had prepared such a field assessment in a relatively short time. “According to the Dean, the Chemistry Study Program is ready for assessment and this opening is special. At the opening of the assessment, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor I and Vice Chancellor III attended the opening,” said Iwan Taruna. Continue reading


The Beginning of a New Adventure for a Bright Future for MABA FMIPA UNEJ 2022

Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. welcomes the presence of new students of FMIPA UNEJ for the 2022/2022 academic year on the FMIPA basketball court (15/8). In front of the 368 new students of FMIPA, the Dean advised students to be able to prepare themselves for a new adventure, namely the world of lectures. “Prepare yourself, because next week we will immediately carry out lectures after the week we will be introduced to UNEJ and FMIPA,” he said. New students of FMIPA in particular and UNEJ will generally receive PKKMB material in predetermined classes or groups. The Dean also hopes that students will also actively participate in lectures and follow developing information, especially regarding scholarships. “In the beginning there was KIP, in the future there will be many scholarships offered, look at and get these scholarships,” he said. The reception ended with the introduction of officials from the Dean, Study Program and Administration at FMIPA UNEJ. The Dean started the introductions from Vice Dean I, Vice Dean II, Vice Dean III, Head of Study Programs for Bachelors of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Masters of Physics, ending with the introduction of Koordinator Kelompok Kerja Tata Usaha and 3 Wakil Koordinator. On August 17 tomorrow, it is mandatory to take part in the Flag Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day. At the end of the series of introductions to the UNEJ campus, a healthy walk and inauguration of the closing of the PKKMB will be held. “The beginning of a new adventure is in sight, immediately prepare to achieve a bright future” concluded the Dean of FMIPA encouraging new students. Ceremony and Rapat Terbuka Senat celebrate Dies Natalis 57th Universitas Jember

In Auditorium of Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, civitas akademika attended ceremony and Rapat Terbuka Senat University of Jember (10/11). Commemoration the 57th anniversary University of Jember was carried out by each work unit online and offline with led Rector of University of Jember. Using videotron and zoom meetings to broadcast the dies natalis agenda, civitas FMIPA attended event led by Dean of FMIPA UNEJ. In his mandate, Rektor UNEJ, Dr. Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng. said that the 57th Anniversary of University of Jember which coincided with Hari Pahlawan on November 10, we can take lessons from the struggles of the heroes and founders of the University of Jember. “Today, with all the dedication we have, University of Jember continues to contribute to realizing the ideals of the nation’s progress such as the fighters and founders of Triump Viraat” he said. The theme of the 57th anniversary of the University of Jember is “Kampus Gotong Royong untuk Indonesia Tangguh dan Tumbuh“. Rektor said that togetherness and mutual cooperation would further accelerate the progress of the University of Jember, making a real contribution to the life of the community, nation and state. At the end of his speech, Iwan Taruna invited the entire academic community of the University of Jember to have integrity together, to advance University of Jember. “Let’s continue to change to provide the best service to stakeholders. Department of Physics FMIPA UNEJ held The Third International Conference on Physical Instrumentation and Advanced Materials (ICPIAM) 2021

Department of Physics, FMIPA, University of Jember held the 3rd International Conference on Physical Instrumentation and Advanced Materials (ICPIAM) 2021 online (27/10). ICPIAM is an international seminar held as collaboration between Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember and Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). The first and second ICPIAM were held by FST UNAIR in 2016 and 2019. In 2021, Department of Physics FMIPA UNEJ will host with theme “Enhancing The Role of Physics, Instrumentation and Advanced Materials in Supporting the Industrial Era 4.0 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030“. The 3rd ICPIAM 2021 topics are Material Sciences and Engineering, Computational Science and Engineering, Renewable Energy and Power Systems, Sensors, Instrumentation, and Control Systems, Microwave Communications and Propagation, RADAR, Wireless Antenna, Imaging and Image Processing, Biophysics, Medical Physics, and Biotechnology, Nuclear and Reactor Physics, Geophysics, Environmental Physics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Earth Sciences and Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. At Opening Ceremony, Bowo Eko Cahyono, Ph.D. as Chairman of the 3rd ICPIAM said that ICPIAM 2021 presented 6 Keynote Speakers. “We present 6 speakers, Dr. MV Reddy, Institute of Research Hydro-Quebec from Canada, Prof. Tamio Oguchi from the Center for Spintronics Research Network, Osaka University, Japan, Prof. Dr. Eng. Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Diktiristek Kemendikbud) has extended the registration for Program Talenta Inovasi Batch 2, 2021 until October 31, 2021. Quoted from the official website of Ditjen Dikti Kemendikbudristek, Friday (22/10), students S1, S2 or S3 levels who have not registered for Program Talenta Inovasi Batch 2 do not need to worry. Because Dirjen Diktiristek extended the registration period until October 31, 2021 at 23:59. Program Talenta Inovasi 2021 is a funding program in the form of incentives given to students who are actively studying in Bachelor, Master or Doctoral programs. Both in the academic and applied fields in realizing independent innovation and creativity and appreciation for students’ creative innovative work that supports the development of science and technology that is beneficial to society. This program is a continuation of Program Penguatan Talenta Inovasi Indonesia Tahun 2020 which was previously managed by Kementerian Riset dan Teknologi/Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (Kemristek/BRIN). Incentive funding for this program is to help finance the realization of innovation in order to increase the nation’s competitiveness, develop Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), and accelerate the completion of the study period. And the output is a tangible form of the academic process produced by students in the context of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) and is declared eligible based on the criteria set to receive funding support. Department of Chemistry FMIPA UNEJ held 3rd International Conference on Chemistry and Material Science (IC2MS) 2021

Department of Chemistry, FMIPA, University of Jember held the 3rd International Conference on Chemistry and Material Science (IC2MS) 2021 by online (12-13/10). IC2MS is a biennial agenda of collaboration between Department of Chemistry, University of Jember, Brawijaya University and Universitas Negeri Malang. In 2021, Department of Chemistry, FMIPA UNEJ hosted with the theme “Innovation on Material Science for Sustainable Industrial Chemistry“. The 3rd IC2MS 2021 topics are Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry. At the Opening Ceremony, Dr. A.A.I. Ratnadewi as Chief Executive 3rd IC2MS said that IC2MS 2021 attended 6 Keynote Speakers. “We present Prof. Manabu Abe from School of Chemistry, Hiroshima University, Japan, Prof. Yong-Chien Ling from Department of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, ROC, Prof. Byung-Dae Park from Department of Wood and Paper Science, Kyungpook National University, Republic of Korea, Hasliza Bahruji, Ph.D. from the Center for Advanced Materials and Energy Sciences, Universiti of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam, Prof. David Lennon from School of Chemistry, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom and Prof. .
