The Chair of the Jember University Senate confirmed eight professors or professors at the Jember University Senate Meeting at the Jember University Auditorium (29/1). Three of them are professors from UNEJ’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, namely Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Istri Ratnadewi, S.Si., M.Si., as a professor in the field of biochemistry in the Chemistry Department, FMIPA. Prof. Dr. Kahar Muzakhar, S.Si., is a professor in the field of microbiology in the Biology Department, FMIPA. And Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Kartika Senjarini, S.Si., M.Si., a professor in the field of molecular biology who is also in the biology department at FMIPA UNEJ. The senate meeting was attended by UNEJ leadership, the Rector and Vice Rector, senate members, and stakeholders at the University of Jember.
“Congratulations and success to the three professors who have just been inaugurated; it is a matter of pride for the FMIPA academic community, and now there are seven professors at FMIPA UNEJ,” said Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Plt. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ. The Dean said that, apart from professors, FMIPA also encourages and provides assistance to all FMIPA lecturers in accelerating the promotion of promotions and functional positions. Colleagues from FMIPA UNEJ were present to witness the inauguration and scientific orations from the three professors.
Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Istri Ratnadewi, S.Si., M.Si., or commonly called Mrs. Dewi, is a lecturer at the Chemistry Department, FMIPA, and currently also serves as Chair of the Chemistry Department. Prof. Dewi delivered an oration entitled “Peran Enzim Xilanolitik asal Bacillus sp. dalam Abdominal Rayap Sebagai Pandegradasi Biomassa untuk Menghasilkan Prebiotik Xilooligosakarida” This native Balinese woman completed her BA at Airlangga University in 1996, continued her Masters studies at ITB in 2001, and completed her PhD at Airlangga University in 2013. Mrs. Dewi received the title of professor in biochemistry based on the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 46120/M/07/2023.
Prof. Dr. Kahar Muzakhar, S.Si., is a lecturer at the Department of Biology, FMIPA, who completed his undergraduate education at ITB Bandung in 1993. He completed his doctorate at Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, in 2000. Prof. Kahar delivered an oration entitled “Mikrobiologi: Jendela ke Dunia Kecil yang Menginsipirasi Solusi Besar” This man, who was born in Jember, received the title of professor in the field of microbiology based on the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 51675/M/07/2023.
Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Kartika Senjarini, S.Si., M.Si., is also a lecturer at the Department of Biology, FMIPA, who completed his undergraduate education at Brawijaya University in 1998. I completed the master’s program at ITB Bandung in 2001. And completed the doctoral program at the Universität Rostock, Germany, in 2007. Prof. Kartika presented an oration entitled “Pendekatan Molekuler Dalam Pengendalian Penyakit Diperantarai Vektor Nyamuk” The woman, who is also the DAAD Project Coordinator for the University of Jember, received the title of professor in the field of molecular biology based on the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 51679/M/07/2023.
