PPK Ormawa Team BEMF MIPA UNEJ Collaborates with Pondok Pesantren DaarusSalaam Yasinat to Create a Waste-Free Kesilir Village

The PPK Ormawa BEMF MIPA Team at University of Jember held a second socialization with a focus on the managers and partners of the program running the waste E-Bank and Maggot production (Hermetia Illucens) as an effort to increase the economic value of waste and environmental health in Kesilir Village. This program involves the community of RW 14 around the Pondok Pesantren DaarusSalaam Yasinat who will become customers of the Waste E-Bank program.

The socialization aims to provide information on waste sorting, maggot cultivation, and the process of making compost. The activity is divided into two posts, the first post learns to sort inorganic waste according to its type and the second post learns about maggot cultivation and making compost. Tim Program Penguatan Kapasitas ORMAWA BEMF MIPA UNEJ Promotes E-Bank Waste Program in Kesilir Village, Jember

The Waste E-Bank is a program that will be implemented by Tim Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Mahasiswa (PPK ORMAWA) BEMF MIPA 2022 (PPK ORMAWA) in Kesilir Village, Jember Regency. This program aims to handle waste in Kesilir Village by introducing organic and inorganic waste processing through a digital waste house based on an e-waste bank. The existing waste must be addressed immediately so that the residents of Kesilir no longer throw garbage into other villages on the grounds that there is no waste processing.

The socialization was held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Kesilir Village Village Office. The socialization event was attended by village officials, RT heads and PKK. This activity began with remarks from the Head of Kesilir Village, Sucipto, who was very supportive of this program. This socialization brought two resource persons who are experts in their fields, namely Rini Nur Intani as the Manager of Asri Bumi Mangli Permai BSU and Nurul Hidayat as Maggot Cultivator at the Maggot Palace. FMIPA UNEJ cooperates with Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur Jember for Implementation of BKP MBKM

As a means of implementing Bentuk Kegiatan Pembelajaran (BKP) MBKM for students, FMIPA University of Jember entered into a Cooperation Agreement with Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur Jember in the Meeting Room of the FMIPA Dean (20/7). “Students who are implementing BKP MBKM need for assistance and assistance if there are problems in the field, especially the fertilization process, we can discuss together on campus” the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D.

The Dean further stated that the use of fish fertilizer that is being applied by students at Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur Jember will produce a faster harvest. “And if the fish fertilizer is given when the rice begins to flower, it will produce more weight than usual,” he continued. The effort continues to pay attention that living things, in this case rice, have natural development as well. Kelompok Tani Sido Makmur Jember through Abdul Faseh as the chairman welcomed this activity and for some time immediately applied the use of fish fertilizer by inviting students to implement it. Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ held the 2022 MaGeStick National Seminar

Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember held a National Seminar on Mathematics, Geometry, Statistics, and Computing (SeNa-MaGeStiK) in 2022 (16/7). SeNa-MaGeStiK 2022 has the theme “Penguatan Riset Matematika dan Aplikasinya dalam Menjawab Tantangan Era Disrupsi“. Dr. Firdaus Ubaidillah in his speech at the plenary session said that SeNa-MaGeStiK 2022 presented 3 resource persons, namely Prof. Agus Suryanto from Brawijaya University, Dr. Bambang Suprihatin from Sriwijaya University, Dr. Kiswara Agung Santoso from University of Jember.

“SeNa-MaGeStiK 2022 is held to accommodate various interests and research expertise in the field of mathematics within the framework of innovation that generates various thoughts and ideas in responding to the challenges of the current era of disruption,” he explained. Firdaus also said that after the plenary session, a parallel session would be continued which was divided into 8 rooms with the distribution of fields, namely Geometry, Analysis, Algebra, Statistics, Computing, Graphs, Mathematics Education, and Applied Mathematics.

“Finally, I would like to say that the SeNa-MaGeStiK 2022 will be attended by 85 presenters and also non-presenters from several universities throughout Indonesia,” he concluded. The implementation of SeNa-MaGeStiK 2022 is carried out online considering the pandemic in Indonesia is still not over and the SeNa-MaGeStiK 2022 agenda is fully supported by Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika (HIMATIKA GEOKOMPSTAT). FMIPA UNEJ Cooperation Agreement with Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember

To support the MBKM Bentuk Kegiatan Pembelajaran (BKP) for students, FMIPA University of Jember entered into a Cooperation Agreement with Perusahaan Umum Daerah (PERUMDA) Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember in the Meeting Room of the FMIPA (24/6). “This agreement aims to equalize perceptions in an effort to improve the knowledge, skills and competencies of FMIPA students at the University of Jember in the MBKM BKP at Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D.

It was further stated that students could convey ideas in developing innovative products. “Students are given the opportunity to be able to channel ideas to develop potential partners, in this case the Kahyangan Plantation,” he said. On this occasion Sofyan Sauri, S.M. President Director of Perkebunan Kahyangan, Jember, said that collaboration with FMIPA UNEJ will have a good impact on heaven plantations and FMIPA students. FMIPA participated in Ceremony and Lively Hari Lahir Pancasila at UNEJ

FMIPA sent a delegation of 33 people to Hari Lahir Pancasila ceremony at the Auditorium Building of University of Jember (1/6). Together with all agencies throughout Indonesia, The UNEJ academic community attended the Hari Lahir Pancasila ceremony which was centered in Ende, Nusa Tenggara Timur with Inspector of the Presidential Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo. All ceremony participants, including the FMIPA delegation, wore traditional clothes from various regions in Indonesia. “We appoint representatives from lecturers, education staff and students to take part in Hari Lahir Pancasila ceremony by wearing Indonesian traditional clothes,” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D.

During the implementation, several staffs were seen wearing traditional clothes from Central Java, South Sumatra, Madura, the Osing Tribe, and some traditional clothes in Indonesia. Rector of University of Jember in his speech said that we must continue to believe that the values ​​of Pancasila if they are implemented properly will have a good impact on the progress of Indonesian nation.
