New Students of the University of Jember FMIPA entered the parking lot while shouting “Scientist Muda Berani Berkarya” after participating in the student inauguration ceremony and the opening of the PKKMB by Rektor of the University of Jember (14/8). “Welcome to FMIPA UNEJ, a faculty that will turn all of you into young scientists, who will have the courage to produce works,” said Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ. It was also conveyed that FMIPA has the facilities and professional staff who will assist in realizing these ideals.
New FMIPA students will receive PKKMB material in a class or group determined by the committee. Together with BEMF MIPA, the committee has prepared PKKMB as comfortable as possible, starting from delivering materials to MABA health services. The Dean of FMIPA also hopes that students will actively participate in lectures and follow information, especially scholarships. “The student is very lucky, because there are many scholarship opportunities, not only KIP, but there are many more and you should know that from the start,” he said.
The reception ended with being introduced to the leadership of FMIPA UNEJ. The Dean started the introductions of the Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean II, Deputy Dean III, Heads of the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Masters of Physics, also Heads of Laboratory at FMIPA, Chair of BPM and introductions of the Head of the General Section along with 3 Deputy Field Coordinators. “I hope all of you can take part in PKKMB in a happy , comfortable and enjoyable way,” he concluded. On August 17 tomorrow, all freshmen are required to take part in Upacara Bendera Hari Kemerdekaan of Republic of Indonesia.
Previously, Iwan Taruna, Rektor of University of Jember, when inaugurating MABA UNEJ, conveyed his welcome, welcome to join the University of Jember. “School in tertiary institutions is certainly not the same as high school or vocational schools. What about University of Jember and how to study at University of Jember ? It is hoped that all new students can take part in PKKMB,” he said. With this PKKMB later it can make it easier for new students to adapt. The Chancellor hopes that through PKKMB there will grow togetherness, mutual cooperation and solidarity. “Competition is allowed, but must not eliminate one another and successful studies require good and positive cooperation for successful studies,” he continued.
After participating in the leadership introductory event at FMIPA, MABA immediately entered the specified class to take part in the scheduled Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) material. FMIPA UNEJ provides 4 major classes namely the International Class Mathematics Department, the Physics Department with the Physics Audiotorium, the Biology Department uses the General Biology Room, the Chemistry Department uses the Chemistry Auditorium.
