Department of Physics FMIPA UNEJ held The Third International Conference on Physical Instrumentation and Advanced Materials (ICPIAM) 2021

Department of Physics, FMIPA, University of Jember held the 3rd International Conference on Physical Instrumentation and Advanced Materials (ICPIAM) 2021 online (27/10). ICPIAM is an international seminar held as collaboration between Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember and Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). The first and second ICPIAM were held by FST UNAIR in 2016 and 2019. In 2021, Department of Physics FMIPA UNEJ will host with theme “Enhancing The Role of Physics, Instrumentation and Advanced Materials in Supporting the Industrial Era 4.0 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030“. The 3rd ICPIAM 2021 topics are Material Sciences and Engineering, Computational Science and Engineering, Renewable Energy and Power Systems, Sensors, Instrumentation, and Control Systems, Microwave Communications and Propagation, RADAR, Wireless Antenna, Imaging and Image Processing, Biophysics, Medical Physics, and Biotechnology, Nuclear and Reactor Physics, Geophysics, Environmental Physics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Earth Sciences and Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. At Opening Ceremony, Bowo Eko Cahyono, Ph.D. as Chairman of the 3rd ICPIAM said that ICPIAM 2021 presented 6 Keynote Speakers. “We present 6 speakers, Dr. MV Reddy, Institute of Research Hydro-Quebec from Canada, Prof. Tamio Oguchi from the Center for Spintronics Research Network, Osaka University, Japan, Prof. Dr. Eng. Khairurrijal, M.Sc., Department of Physics, ITB, Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Rozaini Bin Roslan, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia, Dr. Rakibuzzaman Shah, Federation University, Australia and Agung Tjahjo Nugroho, S.Si, M.Phil., Ph.D, University of Jember, Indonesia,” he said.

Furthermore, Bowo said that of the 70 participants who submitted abstracts through easychair program, there were 60 participants who submitted full papers, and after the review process, 54 papers would be presented in 6 parallel sessions. Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. in his speech, he hoped that the next agenda could be carried out offline and could continue to exchange ideas with fellow researchers. The event was officially opened by Wakil Rektor III of University of Jember, Prof. Bambang Kuswandi and advised at the ICPIAM event to share positive knowledge about the development of science and its application in instrumentation physics and advanced materials. “I hope the results of this conference can make a meaningful contribution to the development of science, as well as increase partnerships between lecturers and researchers from different institutions or institutions,” he said. Opening ceremony hosted by Kefara Gustinia Digmadani, S.H..
