FMIPA Delegation Participates in the University of Jember’s Nusantara Cultural Parade on Pancasila Day

Led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences delegation participated in the University of Jember’s Nusantara Cultural Parade (6/1). The parade was part of the Pancasila Month Celebrations, which this year adopted the theme “Kampus Berdampak Berlandaskan Nilai Pancasila untuk Kemajuan Bangsa” The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences sent seven pairs of representatives, consisting of lecturers and staff, dressed in traditional Indonesian attire. Following the Pancasila Day flag-raising ceremony, a cultural parade took place along the courtyard of the University of Jember’s Rectorate Building. Representatives from every faculty, institution, and technical unit (UPA) within the University of Jember participated in the parade.

FMIPA UNEJ placed eighth in the parade, with Dean Prof. Dafik displaying a graceful stride toward the stage of honor. The cheers were presented with a unified theme of the archipelago, including the FMIPA slogan: “Create, Innovate, and Achieve.” “We have appointed representatives from the lecturers and staff to participate in the parade, dressed in traditional Indonesian attire and prepared cheers and dance movements to participate in the 2026 Pancasila Birth Day celebrations,” said the Dean of FMIPA. Support also came from the FMIPA community, who eagerly awaited the FMIPA delegation’s performance amidst the blazing sun.

Previously, the entire University of Jember academic community participated in the Pancasila Birth Day flag ceremony on the UNEJ Rectorate field. Iwan Taruna, the Rector of the University of Jember, led the ceremony, wearing traditional attire, like the UNEJ leaders, to enliven Pancasila Month 2026. In his address, Iwan Taruna urged the UNEJ academic community to participate in implementing the values ​​of Pancasila in realizing an Impactful Campus. “In realizing an Kampus Berdampak at UNEJ, we are always guided by the values ​​of Pancasila, in order to achieve the progress of the Indonesian nation,” he said.

The University of Jember has several agendas as part of the 2026 Pancasila Month Celebration. The launch of Pancasila Month began on May 22nd during Morning Harmony at the UNEJ Postgraduate Program. A national-level TikTok competition with the theme “Nasionalisme, Pluralisme, and Gotong Royong” was also held. On June 10th, a National Lecture will be held with the theme “Metode Pembelajaran Pancasila yang Reflektif, Kristis dan Kreatif” by Dr. Johannes Haryatmoko, SJ, Special Staff of the BPIP Steering Committee. The Pancasila Month series concludes with a Choir Competition between work units within the University of Jember.
