Signing of the 2026 Performance Agreement at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember

“The target achievement of the KPI for each study program is outlined in the 2026 performance agreement at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, as well as the achievements in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education,” stated the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., at the signing of the 2026 performance agreement (February 6). The performance agreement, which aims to achieve university targets, is a collective effort that requires collaborative leadership. “The 2026 performance agreement elaborates four strategic targets: talent, research and innovation development, dedicated contribution, and governance with integrity, outlined in 11 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). I quoted these during the performance agreement signing between the Heads of Work Units and the Rector,” explained Prof. Dafik.

The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ, invited the leaders of the Faculty to carefully review the contents of the attachment to the work agreement, which is a derivative of the work agreement between the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Rector of the University of Jember. “Please carefully review the contents of the 2026 performance agreement attachment so that it can be implemented in each study program and laboratory within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNEJ,” continued Prof. Dafik. The Dean also hopes that the achievements of the 2026 performance agreement will also improve the achievement of the FMIPA UNEJ’s KPIs. The 2026 performance agreement was signed by the Dean, the Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, the Heads of Laboratories within FMIPA UNEJ, and the Head of the General Affairs Division of FMIPA. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Graduation Ceremony, Jember University, Period 8, Academic Year 2025/2026

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held the 83rd Postgraduate (S2) and 117th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University, Period 8, Academic Year 2025/2026 (February 5). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become competitive graduates. “Today’s world of work has changed, not only in terms of human resources but also in terms of the rise of AI, making them a significant competitor,” he began. Therefore, the graduates must increase their creativity to compete with AI, and this competition can even lead to prototypes that AI does not yet possess.

Prof. Dafik stated that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), with its motto of “creativity,” will continue to produce alumni who are not solely focused on their GPA. Supported by this motto, creativity will enable graduates to be independent and competitive. “With the FMIPA motto of “creative and innovative,” we foster a strong mentality toward future achievements that can be achieved, and FMIPA is also committed to this through the tagline “3.5 to the power of 4,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance prayer and effort to achieve success. The Dean of FMIPA led an open meeting of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences senate, accompanied by the Vice Deans II and III of FMIPA. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember Graduation Ceremony for Periods 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year

FMIPA UNEJ held the 80th and 81st Postgraduate (S2) Graduation as well as the 112th and 113th Undergraduate Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year (16/10). Held in the newly renovated Physics Department Auditorium of FMIPA, University of Jember. In the graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. conveyed congratulations and success in completing their studies at FMIPA, especially during their thesis or dissertation. “The graduates have been able to complete the difficult task by completing their thesis or dissertation with a strong spirit,” he said. This is the initial foundation for preparing to enter the real world, looking for job opportunities or further studies.

Prof. Dafik said that high enthusiasm is needed by holding four main keys to achieve success in the future. “Four keys are needed, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication, if these are held by the judiciary, they will always be ready to enter the community,” he continued. It was also emphasized to continue exploring skills to achieve success in work or further studies, which will also make the institution proud. It will also certainly increase the interest of new students to study at FMIPA. FMIPA UNEJ held the 79th Postgraduate (S2) and 111th Undergraduate (S2) Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 2, Academic Year 2025/2026 (19/9). Held at the Auditorium of the Entrepreneurship Building, University of Jember. In the graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. invited the graduation to immediately prepare to compete with job seekers. “You all have to be ready, because there are so many competitors, so it’s not just GPA, but creativity is needed as a determinant of the future,” he said. With creativity, you can create opportunities to open your own business, become an entrepreneur without having to depend on job vacancies.

Prof. Dafik stated that with the new curriculum, students are taught about entrepreneurship so they can become self-sufficient. “The new curriculum has added entrepreneurship, so that they can create their own jobs through entrepreneurship,” he continued. Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period I, Academic Year 2025/2026

FMIPA UNEJ held the 78th Postgraduate (S2) and 110th Undergraduate Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, period I, Academic Year 2025/2026 (24/7). Held at the Auditorium of the Entrepreneurship Building, University of Jember. In the graduation speech, Deputy Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D. said that graduation is not the end of a journey. “Graduation is a gateway to a greater world that will be traversed, namely the world of work, community service and further self-development,” she said. It is said that an academic degree is not a symbol but an internal, intellectual and moral responsibility that must be maintained.

Prof. Hari invited the graduates to become graduates who are not only intelligent but also have integrity. “Bring the good name of the FMIPA UNEJ alma mater wherever you go and become agents of change in society,” she continued. He also congratulated and congratulated all the graduates and invited them to prepare for the future after the graduation ceremony next weekend. The Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Jember Receives UNGUL ​​Accreditation from LAMSAMA

Early this July, the academic community of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Jember received two pieces of good news. Among them, the Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program (PSSM) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNEJ received UNGUL ​​accreditation. This is stated in the decision of the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA) Number 201/SK/LAMSAMA/Akred/S/VII/2025, dated July 7, 2025. The accreditation is valid from the date of issuance until July 6, 2030. This UNGUL ​​accreditation is a source of great pride for the PSSM and the entire FMIPA community at UNEJ. “Achieving UNGUL ​​accreditation from LAMSAMA is the result of the hard work of the task force and PSSM management, as well as the collaboration of several parties, including students and alumni of the Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program,” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D.

Contacted separately, Dr. Kiswara Agung Santoso, S.Si., M.Si., Head of the Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program, stated that achieving UNGGUL (Excellent) is the result of hard work by his accreditation team, who prepared the forms, supported by lecturers, students, alumni, and stakeholders. “From the beginning of preparation, we have always coordinated with the task force, the undergraduate mathematics study program community, the leadership of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), and with assistance from LPMPP UNEJ,” said Kiswara. The University of Jember leadership also played a role and supported the LAMSAMA accreditation process. The field assessment was attended by the Rector, Vice Rector I, Head of the ICT Unit, Director of Postgraduate Studies, and representatives from the LPMPP.
