Field Assessment of LAMSAMA Accreditation of Master of Mathematics Study Program, FMIPA UNEJ

The Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA) organized a field assessment for the accreditation of the Master’s Program in Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Jember (UNEJ). The Rector of UNEJ, Dr. Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng, IPM, and the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Drs. Bambang Kuswandi, M.Sc, Ph.D., along with the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., accompanied the accreditation assessment team during the opening ceremony of the field assessment (November 5-6). The assessment team consisted of Prof. Dr. Titin Siswantining, DEA from the University of Indonesia and Dr. Budi Surodjo, M.Si from Gadjah Mada University.

In his opening speech, Rector Iwan Taruna expressed his hope that the Mathematics Master’s Program would achieve an “EXCELLENT” accreditation status, which would contribute to improving UNEJ’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU). “I appreciate all the preparations made by the team, and I hope that the program will reach EXCELLENT status, which will ultimately improve UNEJ’s IKU,” he said. The Rector also thanked the support provided by various UNEJ institutions, which have always been involved in the accreditation process. “There has been a lot of support from UNEJ institutions, such as LPMPP, LP2M, UPA TIK, Graduate School, UPA Library, and it is evident that the leaders of these institutions are present today,” he added. Vice Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ Introduces Eleven New Lecturers at Apel Pagi of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember

“At the beginning of this odd semester, FMIPA UNEJ received 11 new lecturers who will strengthen our service to our students,” said Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean I of FMIPA UNEJ. This was conveyed at the Apel Pagi held in the front yard of the FMIPA UNEJ Dean’s Office (5/8). The new lecturers were given the opportunity to introduce themselves because they have become part of FMIPA. “So that all FMIPA residents can get to know each other and can greet each other and in the future can work together, please introduce yourselves, new lecturers,” she continued. It was also conveyed that this year, the mathematics study program has 5 new lecturers, the physics study program has 2 people, the chemistry study program has 3 people, and the study program has 1 new lecturer.

Previously in the morning assembly, Mrs. Hari invited all lecturers in FMIPA to start actively filling in data in the Sistem Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan or SIPALU. “I invite all FMIPA lecturers to fill in SIPALU because this will be very useful during the study program accreditation process,” she explained. She mentioned that the CPL and CPMK assessments of courses are strong supporting data for study program accreditation. Mrs. Hari also reminded the lecturers that lectures must run with the RPS. “Lecturers are attached to the RPS, so the lectures we deliver must refer to it,” she continued. Continue reading

Master of Mathematics FMIPA UNEJ Finalizes Evaluation of LAMSAMA Accreditation Documents

Master of Mathematics Program FMIPA UNEJ held an evaluation of LAMSAMA accreditation documents at Agrotechno Jubung (1-3/7). Presenting a companion from the Lembaga Penjamin Mutu dan Pengembang Pembelajaran (LPMPP), Dr. Iis Nur Aisyah, S.P., M.P., and Lailatul Azkiyah, S.TP., M.P., Ph.D. The event was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., who hopes that Masters in Mathematics can achieve UNGGUL accreditation. “In the next three days, we will discuss the evaluation of the LAMSAMA Master of Mathematics accreditation documents together, accompanied by Mrs. Iis and Mrs. Kiki from LPMPP. I hope to get good results, namely superior accreditation,” he said.

For three days, the FMIPA Mathematics Masters accreditation task force team will carry out a common perception of the Laporan Kinerja Program Studi (LKPS) and Self Evaluation Report (LED). Each criterion will be accompanied by a team from LPMPP and also UPM-GPM FMIPA UNEJ. Previously the team had worked based on agreed criteria. “Prior to the evaluation and similarity of perceptions between LKPS and LED, the task force teams had each worked based on predetermined criteria,” said Dr. Mohamad Fatekurohman, S.Si., M.Si. Chair of the Master of Mathematics accreditation task force. FMIPA UNEJ Internal Workshop Presents Prof. Amin Setyo Laksono from Brawijaya University

In an effort to ensure the quality of education at the Program Studi (PS) and Unit Pengelola Program Studi (UPPS) levels, FMIPA UNEJ held an internal workshop at FMIPA UNEJ in the Ecology R. Biology Department, FMIPA (3/5). Present as a resource person was Prof. Amin Setyo Laksono, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., from Brawijaya University Malang. Taking the theme “Kiat Praktis Menjamin Keunggulan dan Rekognisi PS dalam Penyelenggaraan Tri Dharma PT di Level Internasional”  the workshop was attended by the Head of Department, Secretary of Department, Study Program Coordinator, and 5 representative lecturers for each study program at FMIPA UNEJ. Prof. Amin was accompanied by Deputy Dean of FMIPA, Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., as the event moderator.

In his presentation, Prof. Amin explained the legal basis that is used as a reference for accreditation and why there is now conditional accreditation status. “Now, there is a conditional status to provide evaluation results that do not harm the study program and also to give the study program the opportunity to make improvements,” he initially said. It is also necessary to understand the assessment matrix and also know the weighting of items in order to know the highest points that can be achieved. “You can pay attention to the points and weights in service research as well as our student publications, also in the LKPS section,” said Prof. Amin is also the Head of Biology Masters Study Program, FMIPA, Brawijaya University, Malang. Physics Master Study Program, FMIPA University of Jember Achieves UNGGUL Accreditation Predicate from LAMSAMA

Good news is here again for the FMIPA academic community at Jember University. Physics Master Study Program, FMIPA University of Jember  achieved UNGGUL accreditation. Contained in the decision of the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA) Number 022/SK/LAMSAMA/Akred/M/IV/2024 dated April 1, 2024. The achievement of this superior accreditation is very encouraging for the Physics Masters Study Program and also for all residents of FMIPA UNEJ. This is because some time ago the Biology Masters Study Program FMIPA also achieved UNGGUL accreditation, so there are already 4 study programs at the FMIPA University of Jember that have successfully achieved accreditation with a UNGGUL rating from LAMSAMA..

The success of the Physics Master’s Study Program is an effort made by all parties. The Physics Master’s Study Program, through its accreditation team, prepares forms, supported by lecturers, students, alumni, and other stakeholders working together to achieve the title of UNGGUL accreditation. Jember University leadership also plays a role and supports the LAMSAMA accreditation process, which is carried out by all work units within UNEJ. LAMSAMA Accreditation Field Assessment of Master of Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University

The Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA) team held a field assessment of the accreditation of the FMIPA UNEJ Physics Master’s Study Program. Vice Chancellor I University of Jember Prof. Drs. Slamin, M.Comp.Sc., Ph.D., together with Plt. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achamd Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D., accompany the assessor team at the opening of the field assessment (22/02). The assessor team consists of Prof. Dr. Mitrayana, S.Si., MSi., from Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta and Prof. Drs. Triyanta, M.S., Ph.D., from Institut Teknologi Bandung.

Vice Chancellor UNEJ Prof. Slamin delivered a presentation on the University of Jember Profile. In his presentation, the vision and mission, faculty, postgraduate studies, study programs, teaching staff, educational staff, and active students at UNEJ were presented, as well as UNEJ’s achievements and the direction of UNEJ’s development from 2004 to 2028. “In recent years, the accreditation of study programs with superior achievements at UNEJ has increased, in line with several achievements at national and international levels,” he explained.
