Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences hopes that the work of past head and secretary of departments can be continued by maintaining cooperation with new head and secretary of departments. To note the handover of this position based on Surat Keputusan Rektor of University of Jember No. 22457/UN25/KP/2021 about Pemberhentian dan Pengangkatan Ketua dan Sekretaris Jurusan Fakultas MIPA Universitas Jember. “Time is short, we proposed names of lecturers for new head and secretary of departments some time ago, and the file is complete so that it can be processed immediately with the issuance of Keputusan Rektor” he explained. For new head and secretary of departments, Dean advised new head and secretary of departments to be able to continue the duties of their predecessors and also touched on performance achievements. “We will immediately discuss together the performance achievements and then what will be achieved based on the target,” he asked. The new head and secretary of departments is also given the task of inviting lecturers in study programs who have expertise to collaborate with other institutions and later put it in the form of a cooperation agreement. “We will discuss all plans offline, including Kampus Merdeka,” he concluded. Department of Mathematics FMIPA Student won Silver Medals at The iWareBatik International Hackathon Event 2021
Mita Kornilia Dewi, Departments of Mathematics Department’s student angkatan 2018, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ with University of Jember team, won Silver Prime Defender – Distinction at iWareBatik Ideas International Hackathon Event 2021. “This event is an international event with judges from several countries such as Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Germany and Indonesia. who is a collaborator on the USI UNESCO Chair” said Mita. Mita also said that the selection stage started from University selection which was held on October 3-6, 2021 ago. Each University sends several delegates who will be re-selected to get best essay. Furthermore, the selected participants will participate in mentoring on 11-12 October 2021. For your infomation, besides Mita in University of Jember team, there are Aida Nur Azizah from Faculty of Computer Science and Ulfah Wahdiyani from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology. They are guided by drg. Agustin Wulan Suci D., MDSc, one of the lecturers at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Jember. Department of Chemistry begins offline practice at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember
“It’s really nice to hold tool directly, then can directly practice also making samples,” said cheerful Vina Walida, student of Department of Chemistry angkatan 2019, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember who took part in Praktikum Struktur Kereaktifan Anorganik class B (11/11). Vina and her friends started a full offline practice after previously participating in an online practice. Practice followed 22 practicants by using two laboratory are Kimia Anorganik-Fisik Laboratory and Kimia Analitik Laboratory each of which has capacities 40 practicants. Practice with lecturer Yudi Aris Sulistiyo, S.Si., M.Si. planned to last two days. For your information, all practitioners follow strict health protocols by keeping their distance and have carried out self-quarantine first for practitioners who come from outside the city of Jember. “We along with other friends have carried out self-quarantine before participating in practice,” explained Vina, who also shared that some of her friends had arrived in Jember at end of last October. The practitioners seemed so eager to wait for live samples again, because some time ago only through videos with guidance from assistant class. Offline activities for this course are only for practice, while lectures are still using the online system. In addition to Department of Chemistry, Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UNEJ has also held offline lectures for some time, which is still limited by applying offline and online. Continue reading

In Auditorium of Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, civitas akademika attended ceremony and Rapat Terbuka Senat University of Jember (10/11). Commemoration the 57th anniversary University of Jember was carried out by each work unit online and offline with led Rector of University of Jember. Using videotron and zoom meetings to broadcast the dies natalis agenda, civitas FMIPA attended event led by Dean of FMIPA UNEJ. In his mandate, Rektor UNEJ, Dr. Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng. said that the 57th Anniversary of University of Jember which coincided with Hari Pahlawan on November 10, we can take lessons from the struggles of the heroes and founders of the University of Jember. “Today, with all the dedication we have, University of Jember continues to contribute to realizing the ideals of the nation’s progress such as the fighters and founders of Triump Viraat” he said. The theme of the 57th anniversary of the University of Jember is “Kampus Gotong Royong untuk Indonesia Tangguh dan Tumbuh“. Rektor said that togetherness and mutual cooperation would further accelerate the progress of the University of Jember, making a real contribution to the life of the community, nation and state. Tempat Ujian Kompetensi (TUK) Pertanian Department of Biology, FMIPA, University of Jember held Bimbingan Teknis Kultur Jaringan Level II (6/11). Purwatiningsih, S.Si., M.Si, Ph.D. Head of TUK Pertanian, Department of Biology, FMIPA, started event by introducing background for competency test. “What is importance of competency testing?
