Computational And Experimental Research In Materials And Renewable Energy (CERiMRE) Journal, Department of Physics FMIPA UNEJ held Webinar Acceleration Towards Accredited Journal (7/10). Presenting three persons who are competent in their fields, Prof. Dr. Ade Gahfar Abdullah, M.Si. from Electrical Engineering, UPI, Khairul Anam, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. from Electrical Engineering, FT, UNEJ and Drs. Siswoyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, FMIPA UNEJ who is also Ketua Tim OJS University of Jember. First speaker, Prof. Ade delivered presentation entitled Kiat-kiat Mencapai Jurnal Internasional Terindex. “The important thing in managing international journals is that editors must have a high commitment in developing journals, full concentration and have good journal insights,” he said. Prof. Ade, who is also the manager of the Scopus indexed journal, Indonesian Journal of Science & Technology, said that it takes time and special dedication to develop a journal. “I used to ask Rektor to teach less because it would focus on developing the journal” he said. More, Prof. Ade said that comparative studies in international journals were also needed, he did with CRC Press, Antlatis Press and IOP Publishing. Session moderated by Dr. Artoto Arkundato, S.Si, M.Si. as Editor-in-Chief of CERiMRE Journal, also discussed the criteria that must be met for a journal to enter Scopus. “Journal Policy, Quality of Content, Journal Standing, Regularity, Online availability are criteria that must be met by journals that will reach Scopus,” he explained. Department of Mathematics: The Joint Research Workshop from DM-ITS Surabaya
The research system and road map of research at the Mathematics Department of ITS Surabaya became the main topic in the Joint Research Workshop organized by the Mathematics Department of FMIPA University of Jember in Multimedia Room on Monday (December 11, 2017). Department of Mathematics ITS (DM-ITS) which represented by Prof. Dr. Moh Isa Irawan, Dr. Dieky Adzkiya and Dr. Choirul Imron presented each Focus Group Discussion according to the field. “Increasing the role of functional analysis in applied mathematics and data assimilation methods on large-scale systems Maxplus & Maxmin algebra is among the research objectives in the DM-ITS Analysis and Algebra Laboratory” Dieky Adzkiya in the subject matter of Research Analysis and Algebra. Campus Study of SMA PGRI 1 Jombang
Previous Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Keboan Jombang, this month FMIPA University of Jember visited SMA PGRI 1 Jombang. In the Physics Department Auditorium, Vice Dean I of FMIPA University of Jember, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. together with Vice Dean II of FMIPA Kosala Dwidja Purnomo, S.Si., M.Si. welcome and introduce FMIPA to the students. “FMIPA UNEJ has 4 Undergraduate Program and 3 Master Programs, all accredited B and A for Physics Degree Program” said Vice Dean I at the beginning of speech. Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Second National Seminar of Physics (SENAFIS) 2017 with the theme “Improving Physics Contribution and Its Application In The Framework Towards IPTEK Aspiration in Global Era” on Friday – Saturday (17-18 November 2017) Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc. Professor of Integrated Optics and Optoelectronics who is also Dean of Faculty of Science ITS Surabaya, Dr. Dwa Desa Warnana, S.Si, M.Si. from ITS Surabaya and Febdian Rusydi, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. from UNAIR Surabaya. The first day of the Second SENAFIS event in 2017, a workshop was held at the Physics Auditorium. In his speech, Dean of FMIPA Universitas Jember Drs. Dean of FMIPA: SKPI is Benchmark of Alumni Competence
“SKPI is used for stakeholders to know the competence of an alumni” said Dean of FMIPA University of Jember Drs. Sujito, Ph.D. in the ‘Pelepasan Alumni‘ at Department of Physics (Friday, 3 November 2017). The Alumni and the Vice Deans, the Chairman of the Secretary of Undergraduate and Masters Programs and Administrative Leaders at FMIPA presented dance and band performances unplugged from UKM TITIK. Mr. Jito then advised on the importance of SKPI for alumni. “SKPI is given to prospective graduates after going through some verification until signed by the dean, students start applying SKPI and then will be verified by the student affairs, SKPI team in the course until verification at Vice Dean I by paying attention to the Indonesian and English” he explained.
