FMIPA UNEJ officially established a partnership with PT Autore Pearl Culture to strengthen the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Three Pillars of Higher Education) on May 19. This collaboration aims to improve the quality of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education and strengthen human resource competencies through various activities relevant to the needs of dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI).

Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., stated that this collaboration demonstrates the university’s commitment to providing FMIPA UNEJ students with an education that adapts to industry needs. “Collaboration with industry, such as PT Autore Pearl Culture, provides a significant opportunity for students and lecturers to be directly involved in developing applied research and innovations that have a real impact on society and the industrial sector,” he said. All Coordinating Study Programs within the FMIPA University of Jember were present at the signing ceremony.

Through this collaboration, FMIPA UNEJ and PT Autore Pearl Culture will develop various collaborative programs, including joint research, scientific publications, community service, student internships, and the development of innovations in pearl cultivation. Moch. Ichwan Dwi Cahya, S.Kel., in his presentation, stated that PT Autore Pearl Culture is part of The Autore Group Australia, known as one of the world’s leading pearl cultivation companies. “Our company is involved in the entire pearl production process, from pearl oyster hatchery, to growing, maintaining, and harvesting export-quality pearls,” he explained.

This collaboration is expected to open up opportunities for broader implementation of science and technology, while also providing a platform for FMIPA UNEJ students to develop their competencies through hands-on experience in the industry. With a three-year partnership with the possibility of future extension, both parties are optimistic that this collaboration will positively contribute to the development of higher education and the pearl cultivation sector in Indonesia. The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and an exchange of souvenirs by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ, and PT Autore Pearl Culture.
