Yudisium Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember Period IV, Academic Year 2026/2027

The Senate of FMIPA UNEJ held the yudisium for the 87th Postgraduate and 123rd Undergraduate cohorts Period IV, Academic Year 2026/2027 on September 23. The event took place at the Physics Department Auditorium. In his address, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies. “Congratulations to the graduates on overcoming the challenges faced during your years of study; beyond that, FMIPA alumni possess the flexibility to seek employment or even create their own job opportunities,” he stated. Artificial intelligence is now available to support these endeavors in the current era.

Prof. Dafik stated that becoming a job creator is a viable option while waiting to secure employment, as it enhances the skills of graduating students. “Given the versatility of FMIPA alumni who can enter any field combined with AI capabilities, graduates can create jobs rather than merely seeking vacancies, in addition to the option of pursuing further studies,” he added. Advanced study programs are available across all FMIPA disciplines, and graduates can pursue these not only within FMIPA but also at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). The Dean of FMIPA presided over the open meeting of the FMIPA Faculty Senate, accompanied by Vice Deans I, II, and III. Yudisium Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember Period III, Academic Year 2026/2027

The Senate of the FMIPA UNEJ held the yudisium for the 86th Postgraduate and 122nd Undergraduate cohorts of the 2026/2027 Academic Year (Period III) on September 17. The event took place at the Physics Department Auditorium. This particular ceremony was distinguished by the presence of Prof. Dr. Sunder Ramasamy and Dr. Himani Binjola from India. The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., delivered his address in English. He emphasized the importance of lifelong learning to the graduates, stating, “Congratulations to the graduates; I urge you to always embrace lifelong learning after completing your studies at FMIPA, as it will serve you well whether you enter the workforce or pursue further studies.”.

Prof. Dafik highlighted the role of technology specifically artificial intelligence (AI) in assisting students as they seek employment or pursue further studies. “Given that FMIPA alumni possess the versatility to enter diverse fields, the integration of AI means they can not only look for jobs but also create employment opportunities, in addition to the option of continuing their education,” he added. The importance of English as a global language for those wishing to study abroad was also emphasized. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Graduation Ceremony, Term X, Academic Year 2025/2026

FMIPA of Jember University held its 85th Postgraduate (S2) and 119th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University for Term X, Academic Year 2025/2026 (June 4). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become independent graduates. “FMIPA is dedicated to providing useful knowledge so that alumni can be independent in facing the future,” he began. After graduation, alumni are expected to no longer be dependent on their parents.

Prof. Dafik stated that FMIPA alumni have the advantage of being able to enter all fields of work. “The broad scope of the science and technology field is a valuable asset for alumni, such as now, when they can enter public schools to teach and become nutritionists in national government programs,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to embrace lifelong learning, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning, learning through anything, anywhere, and any medium. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Graduation Ceremony, Term IX, 2025/2026 Academic Year

FMIPA UNEJ held the 84th Postgraduate (S2) and 118th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Jember University, Term IX, 2025/2026 Academic Year (April 16). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become creative graduates. “Use the knowledge gained during lectures to develop creative skills,” he began. FMIPA alumni should no longer simply wait for job openings; they should create their own opportunities, armed with useful knowledge and skills, so they can adapt to the wider community after graduation.

Prof. Dafik stated that FMIPA alumni have been equipped with fundamental knowledge to adapt to the needs of the times. “The current era is filled with AI, so FMIPA alumni who have mastered the basics are expected to be prepared with the skills they have to adapt, not just waiting for job openings, but creating their own opportunities,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance dhikr (remembrance of God) and meditation (contemplation) to prepare for life after graduating from FMIPA UNEJ. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University held the 83rd Postgraduate (S2) and 117th Undergraduate (B2) Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jember University, Period 8, Academic Year 2025/2026 (February 5). The ceremony took place in the Physics Department Auditorium, FMIPA, Jember University. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of their studies at FMIPA. He encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to become competitive graduates. “Today’s world of work has changed, not only in terms of human resources but also in terms of the rise of AI, making them a significant competitor,” he began. Therefore, the graduates must increase their creativity to compete with AI, and this competition can even lead to prototypes that AI does not yet possess.

Prof. Dafik stated that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), with its motto of “creativity,” will continue to produce alumni who are not solely focused on their GPA. Supported by this motto, creativity will enable graduates to be independent and competitive. “With the FMIPA motto of “creative and innovative,” we foster a strong mentality toward future achievements that can be achieved, and FMIPA is also committed to this through the tagline “3.5 to the power of 4,” he continued. Prof. Dafik advised the graduates to balance prayer and effort to achieve success. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember Graduation Ceremony for Periods 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year

FMIPA UNEJ held the 80th and 81st Postgraduate (S2) Graduation as well as the 112th and 113th Undergraduate Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year (16/10). Held in the newly renovated Physics Department Auditorium of FMIPA, University of Jember. In the graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. conveyed congratulations and success in completing their studies at FMIPA, especially during their thesis or dissertation. “The graduates have been able to complete the difficult task by completing their thesis or dissertation with a strong spirit,” he said. This is the initial foundation for preparing to enter the real world, looking for job opportunities or further studies.

Prof. Dafik said that high enthusiasm is needed by holding four main keys to achieve success in the future. “Four keys are needed, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication, if these are held by the judiciary, they will always be ready to enter the community,” he continued. It was also emphasized to continue exploring skills to achieve success in work or further studies, which will also make the institution proud. It will also certainly increase the interest of new students to study at FMIPA.
