The Senate of FMIPA UNEJ held the yudisium for the 87th Postgraduate and 123rd Undergraduate cohorts Period IV, Academic Year 2026/2027 on September 23. The event took place at the Physics Department Auditorium. In his address, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies. “Congratulations to the graduates on overcoming the challenges faced during your years of study; beyond that, FMIPA alumni possess the flexibility to seek employment or even create their own job opportunities,” he stated. Artificial intelligence is now available to support these endeavors in the current era.
Prof. Dafik stated that becoming a job creator is a viable option while waiting to secure employment, as it enhances the skills of graduating students. “Given the versatility of FMIPA alumni who can enter any field combined with AI capabilities, graduates can create jobs rather than merely seeking vacancies, in addition to the option of pursuing further studies,” he added. Advanced study programs are available across all FMIPA disciplines, and graduates can pursue these not only within FMIPA but also at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). The Dean of FMIPA presided over the open meeting of the FMIPA Faculty Senate, accompanied by Vice Deans I, II, and III. The meeting was attended by all members of the FMIPA Senate, as well as invited academic and administrative staff from FMIPA UNEJ.
Next, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ’s decree regarding the 87th Postgraduate and 123rd Undergraduate *Yudisium* (academic graduation clearance) for FMIPA UNEJ Period IV of the 2026/2027 Academic Year was read by the Vice Dean I of FMIPA, Prof. Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D. This was followed by congratulations offered by the Deans, Vice Deans, and Heads of Departments to all the graduates. For this period, the highest GPA among undergraduate graduates was achieved by Amalia Ayu Pratiwi from the Undergraduate Biology Program, with a GPA of 3.85 and a study duration of 3 years, 10 months, and 7 days. The graduate with the fastest completion time was Diajeng Maghfiroh from the Undergraduate Biology Program, with a GPA of 3.27 and a study duration of 3 years, 5 months, and 6 days. Meanwhile, the highest GPA among postgraduate graduates was achieved by Fitirianti Milhatul Hasanah, S.Si. (GPA 4.00; study duration 1 year, 4 months, 14 days) and Riza Aprilia Wulandari, S.Si. (GPA 4.00; study duration 1 year, 4 months, 14 days), both from the Master’s in Biology Program.
The alumni motivational address at the graduation ceremony was delivered by Dinda Desiana Nurfitri, S.Si., a 2024 graduate of the Mathematics Bachelor’s program. Dinda noted that upon graduation, FMIPA UNEJ alumni would inevitably wonder what comes next. “Graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter in navigating real life; starting this journey requires specific skills I cultivated during my time at FMIPA,” she said. The owner of AWP Wedding Organizer encouraged fellow FMIPA UNEJ alumni to have confidence in their own abilities and emphasized the importance of networking, noting that connections enrich experience and provide challenges that help hone one’s skills.
Dinda told the judiciary to take advantage of opportunities because opportunities will not come twice. “Take the opportunity immediately, never hesitate to try a job, make it an experience to become even better,” he continued. At the end of the motivation, Dinda, who has held various part-time jobs, invited the judiciary to be proud to be part of FMIPA UNEJ, because all areas of work had been studied during college, such as precision, systematicity, and measurable thinking. After the graduation, a group photo was taken for the study program within FMIPA UNEJ. The judiciary will take part in the graduation ceremony next weekend at the Jember University Auditorium Building.
