Two FMIPA Alumni Share Work Experience and Entrepreneurship in Alumni Sharing

Hendra Setiawan alumni of Chemistry Department and Aldila Maya Yulandi alumni of Mathematics Department of FMIPA attended the Alumni Sharing to provide motivation to prospective graduates for period VIII of the 2022/2023 academic year (23/6). “Besides working, I also run several entrepreneurs, and even then I have changed jobs several times to get a higher salary, this is motivation for you that MIPA alumni can be in all lines of work and businesses,” said Hendra at the beginning of presentation. He also said that FMIPA alumni were flexible to be able to work in many fields, starting as analysts to banking.

“The FMIPA alumni can work anywhere, like me who has worked at a well-known music company, at a bank and finally in the pharmaceutical sector,” he said. Hendra also said that apart from working, he has been involved in several business ventures. The business is also not only one type, from food to car washing to pick up customers through the application. “The point is we have to be able to take advantage of opportunities carefully to make a profitable business,” he continued.. Dini Ramadhani: Sharing Alumni An Event to Share to Get Work After College

Dini Ramadhani, S.Si. alumni of Biology Department, FMIPA UNEJ Class of 2010, shared their experience of getting a job from a Quality Control until now as a Technician of Lab. Teknologi Pakan Jurusan Peternakan, Politeknik Negeri Jember. Dini is very familiar with sharing tricks with prospective graduates at the Alumni Sharing event (5/5). “I had 2 jobs as QC at different companies in 2015 until November 2016 I finally became a laboratory technician at POLIJE,” said Dini.

Dini also shared a short trick to get a job after graduating from college. “Sharing alumni is very good as a forum for sharing information, especially job vacancies or starting my own business. I will share experiences when applying for jobs, interviews and tricks to get a job,” he said. In addition to the value of the certificate, supporting skills are needed so that companies or agencies are interested in recruiting us. These skills can be obtained while in college or outside through various media that are now easy to find. Continue reading

Alumni Sharing, Alumni Experience Sharing Event for Prospective FMIPA UNEJ Graduates

Prospective graduates of FMIPA UNEJ before the Graduation ceremony the next day, took part in the Alumni Sharing event (10/3). The event is an informal concept, to make it easier for prospective graduates to interact with alumni in various experiences. “We design this Alumni Sharing as far as possible from a formal impression, so that all of you can ask alumni questions so that two-way communication is formed,” said the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. when opening the show.

The Alumni Sharing edition of the University of Jember Graduation Period V for the 2022/2023 Academic Year presented Heru Cahyudi, S.Si. alumni of the Bachelor of Physics Study Program who now works as Rizki Humanity at LAZDA Rizki Jember Regency. The next alumni is Dzurotul Mutimmah, S.Si., M.Sc. alumni of undergraduate and masters of Mathematics who are now lecturers in Mathematics Education study program, FMIPA, Banyuwangi University. They shared their experiences in front of 22 prospective graduates and invited guests from the FMIPA UNEJ leadership. Continue reading

Provision of Graduates to Enter the World of Work through the UNEJ FMIPA Alumni Network

FMIPA UNEJ held debriefing for prospective graduates as preparation for entering the world of work. Through the FMIPA alumni network that will help introduce and view the world of work. Presenting Abdul Kamil, S.Si, Head of Tegal Gede Village, Jember and Fiqh Maulana Yusuf, S.Si. Creative Section Head, Promo On Air SCTV, the event was packaged in a hybrid manner in the Hall of the Chemistry Department, FMIPA (09/12).

This debriefing began when the Dean of FMIPA, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D, took part in the KAUJE National Happy Walk event in Jakarta some time ago. “When we met alumni, we discussed work and they were enthusiastic to share with their juniors about the world of work,” he said. It was further conveyed that FMIPA realized this debriefing so that the graduates would be better prepared to enter the world of work. Continue reading

The Dean and FMIPA JABODETABEK Alumni Families follow Jalan Gembira Nasional KAUJE

The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ and alumni of FMIPA throughout JABODETABEK and their families took part in the Jalan Gembira Nasional KAUJE in the GBK area of Jakarta (27/11). “I am very happy, I am happy to be able to stay in touch with alumni of FMIPA UNEJ, tell each other stories, share experiences and messages of hope for their juniors,” said the Dean. At FMIPA booth, alumni said that now they have worked in various companies in the JABODETABEK area. One of them is Rido, an alumnus of the Mathematics Department who now works as a data consultant for a US company.

“After 2021, I am now working as a data consultant for a US company, the mathematics I got while studying at FMIPA can be applied here,” said Rido, who previously worked on SCTV national TV, MNCTV and KompasTV. Continue reading

Dean of FMIPA: SKPI is Benchmark of Alumni Competence

“SKPI is used for stakeholders to know the competence of an alumni” said Dean of FMIPA University of Jember Drs. Sujito, Ph.D. in the ‘Pelepasan Alumni‘ at Department of Physics (Friday, 3 November 2017). The Alumni and the Vice Deans, the Chairman of the Secretary of Undergraduate and Masters Programs and Administrative Leaders at FMIPA presented dance and band performances unplugged from UKM TITIK. Mr. Jito then advised on the importance of SKPI for alumni. “SKPI is given to prospective graduates after going through some verification until signed by the dean, students start applying SKPI and then will be verified by the student affairs, SKPI team in the course until verification at Vice Dean I by paying attention to the Indonesian and English” he explained. There are some students who do not care with SKPI, but it is very important as the provision of an alumni to be able to compete in the ‘pasar bebas‘ today. Continue reading
